He didn't have a premiership quality list, the planets aligned and they got lucky hitting form at the right time. Higher up in the club seems to be a bigger problem. Personnel keep on walking out and little spotfires keep on hitting the media. How much of a say he has on selection is a guess but it looks like some bigger names are not on his favourite players list.

There's a difference between Buckley and Beveridge, one has produced a Premiership and the other has systematically made his club worse every year since taking over.

Superb effort for the flag, brought the manic pressure before anybody did - totally owned that - and thoroughly deserved the flag.

Looking more and more like one trick ponies now though - everybody has the pressure side and Beveridge and the Dogs look to have precious little else to offer.

Copping a bath against WC. How did this team win a flag. Free Kick count in final series was important + a group who played with passion and desire. That seems to be all gone. Players you just enjoyed going around are almost bereft of desire for the game. Bulldogs were an outlier that won a flag against all odds and you cannot take that away. One thing is for sure some of the over the top views of coach and players show that you can't beat short term luck. Oh yeh did I mention the free kick count in the finals that year.

Why is million dollar man Boyd running around in the twos? They have absolutely no forward line, it’s absurd. They’re also content with getting belted in the ruck each week.

How can you honestly expect to win footy games when you pretty much concede in two areas of the game?

Now they have Bevridge a terrible tactical coach but good motivator.

You do realise list management doesn’t revolve solely around the coach right?

Beveridge deserves time. Also have no idea how you think he’s terribly tactically. Their game plan was the catalyst for them winning a flag.

disagree with that opinion, im a unbiased dogs fan

if you look at the list, we lacked top end talent, and missing a core age group 26-29 age group due to dud recruitment. but that list in 2015/16 peaked.

we are now seeing a team in decline but in a mini rebuild transition.
