If they make finals I can't see them accepting a pick in the 30's.
I can ... a pick in the 30's this year will be worth a lot considering the consider him surplus to needs.

I think they would get close an end of first round pick for him as a FA, which seems on the mark.If they make finals I can't see them accepting a pick in the 30's.
Agree - but I am not sure the contract will be big enough for band 1. Band 2 makes things interesting.I think they would get close an end of first round pick for him as a FA, which seems on the mark.

A pick in the 30’s for Dahlhaus, ha.
He’s a super player. Was one of our stars in the flag year, lots of short memories.
Why on earth would he not be playing in our best 22? Would be one of the first 10 picked. You understand a lot people feel a FA should deliver no comp at all... if he is playing in your best 22 you will get something of value..bit if not you may well get a lot less than you want.

Reported as surplus to needs on fox last night. He plays and is your best 22 , great , you get some comp... what that comp is will mainly depend on any offer he receives. Who knows you may be lucky..just like Geelong, who was extremely lucky, with Motlop .. it will mainly get down to age and money. Band1 comp now is basically set at 1M , makes it very difficult to even get Band2

I know I would rather believe Luke than Tom Morris or whoever his name is from Fox News.
OK great nobody offered anybody up for trade... and he stays a Dog and everyone is happy.

But the amount a club is willing to pay isn't.
That's what he's worth. Anything else is just your opinion or someone else's. The market is what matters.
Deserves? What is that?
There's a player coming into free agency and a club willing to pay x amount to get him. That is all.
Not every club would be willing to pay as much but if there's one club, that's all that matters.
Apparently McGovern is worth 1.2 million per season. That seems crazy to me but that's what the market is saying. Therefore, that's what he's worth. According to reports, anyway.
Is it really what the market is saying or is it what he's manager is saying trying to up his asking price or is it the media speculating, putting 1 + 1 together and coming up with 3?
My mail is that both he and club would entertain a move.
Rest easy, Eagles fans - this is the strongest indication yet that his signature is a mere formality.
Your 'mail'? Please.
I think if a team offers ridiculous money for him Dogs won't match.
Just my opinion.
Then why does the thread title say restricted? Can't match - Dahl is un-restricted.
It just got released today. Title should be updated. Then why does the thread title say restricted?
Tell you the truth, not fussed either way. Dogs picked him as a rookie and he played in a flag, one of very few Dogs players that have.

My one single prediction for 2017 was later confirmed by the player this year, when virtually no one else had a clue, and it almost got over the line.
We weren't talking about your predictions, we were talking about your "mail".
