Multiplat Madden 12

Yeah that's what I mean, every player is modeled and moves like their real life counter part.

EA is a good dev for FIFA and titles like Battlefield. But when it comes to Madden, they are the worst (because they own the exclusive license). Yet, 2K sports has been doing it for years, and as a much smaller dev team than EA's Madden dev team, they dont make the yearly excuses EA does about not having time or too much effort etc etc. Not for 2K.

Really, truth is, EA does it on purpose with Madden. Ex-employees there have said management wants to ensure no madden version is 'perfect', and always taking out features to ensure every year they can hype it as something 'new' and get people excited for that version.
Realy i wouldnt expect a big company like ea or any company for that matter to purposely sabotage their product in anyway shape or form if that is true that is poor form on ea's behalf.

And why doesnt 2k release an nfl game but just change the names ie:instead of aaron rodgers they have Aaron hodgers and instead of the green bay packer they could have the green way stackers and so on(similar to the backbreaker series which is quite popular while not having licensed teams, players, stadiums etc....)

Im sure if the gameplay is as good as nba's 2k series i dont think it would people and if the game sells it would force ea to lift their game.
Because people want to act as if the exclusive license is some form of barrier stopping companies from releasing unofficial NFL titles...

Natural Motion need to get together with the ex-Midway employees and create a new Blitz title. The physics from Natural Motion coupled with the awesome arcade brutality of Blitz would be one of the best games I could think of.

The online franchise site for M12 is up.

If you go to this site then join some randoms franchise you can see the updated team rosters.

PM me if interested in joining a legit online franchise once the game comes out - we wont be starting until week 2 of the NFL season though until after a couple more roster updates.

I don't doubt that JB has broken the release date, my local JB has broken it every year since '08.

Ordered it from play-asia, while i won't be playing it this weekend (although i have ordered stuff on wednesday night and got a surprise delivery on friday.... fingers crossed it happens this time!!!). I'll be damned if i am going to pay $89 - $109, when i can buy it for less than $50 (well in this case its really $60+ after FedEx shipping!).

So is this game actually good? I have Madden 11 but barely played it. I'm only a casual NFL fan so the technical things that hardcore fans might bitch about probably won't worry me much.

I also know (well, I have read) that the game has seen very few improvements in recent years. Whilst that may be the case, if it's still a good game then so be it :)

MM i've heard the jump from 10 to 11 was very minimal (i went from 09 to 11), but i hear the jump from 11 to 12 is awesome. I've played the demo and the tackling system alone is reason to get it IMO, it doesn't feel so mechanical and rigid. Then you have the better presentation, the realistic turf etc. Im definately getting it, most reviews are very good, and just about all of them praise the step-up from 11

Wasn't gonna get this till much later, maybe even early next year, but then discovered I could trade in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Fight Night Round 4 and Call of Duty: World at War and get it for free. Got told that my trade in price more than doubled cos I was taking Madden with it, so I'm quite happy. Hopefully it's good, and I'll probably join that BigFooty community later for some games.
