You know the drill. Until 2k sports gets the license or releases an unlicensed game, people are going to annually complain

thats no excuse for EA to take huge leaps backwards.

Its never an excuse. Just ea is fvcked. Every year it goes backwards. Asking ea to build a video game is like asking tebow to throw for 300 yards in a game. When you could ask brady to do it.

Considering that's a 1 in 17 chance he'll do that (2 in 35), which 1 (or 2) Madden games were actually decent?

Related news; EA apparently lost the licensing or something (i'm reading this via twitter so don't have full details) for most of the NCAA football conferences (PAC12, SEC, etc)

NCAA as a whole as far as i'm aware.

NCAA as a whole as far as i'm aware.

The NCAA decided not to renew the deal about a month ago, mostly due to a pending lawsuit regarding the NCAA benefiting from player's names/photos/etc but the players not being able to at the same time.

However, that agreement between the NCAA and EA was only for the use of the name and logos for the "NCAA". The colleges and the conferences were licensed through a different organisation, the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), and therefore it was possible that the game could be called "College Football 15" and basically be the same as an NCAA without the NCAA appearing.

In the last couple of days, the SEC, Pac-12 and B1G have all pulled out of the CLC (which is what Chadwiko was referring to), meaning that none of those conferences can be referenced in the game now either.

That doesn't necessarily mean that individual colleges from those conferences can't appear in the game (although it would be pretty unlikely).

Basically all this means is that there will likely not be a football game worth purchasing in 2014.

And then I read this:
http://kotaku.com/source-eas-next-c...m_source=Kotaku_Twitter&utm_medium=Socialflow
The next edition of EA Sports' embattled college football series will lose only one school from a lineup of more than 120 next year, though two conferences will stop licensing their trademarks to the game, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter. The Southeastern Conference, which yesterday told ESPN it would opt out, will in fact appear in this game.

and this:
http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2013/08/whos_in_and_whos_out_licensing.html
which directly quotes official university reponses from TAMU, LSU and Tennessee that says they will be in the game.

So I have no idea what the next game will be like. But if its like the current NCAA games but just without a few logos, then I'd probably be inclined to buy that edition of the game as well

Full offensive player ratings are out at the usual sources.

RGIII 84 injury rating. I was worried i'd need to handle him with cotton gloves this year, but now that I know it's 84...

thank you Season Ticket, you just saved me $80 my convincing me not to buy this crap game, i didnt like last year i thought they took another step back and this year they took a jump back. even bringing back owners mode wasnt good enough to save this game. back to NCAA for me. and wont pay full price for the PS4 version unless the ignite engine does what it says it can do. Anyone who didnt love last years game i recommend skipping this year. the VO work is worse than ever takes 5 mins to start hearing the same lines, and most players dont look like them selves, and coaches look worse. check out Arizona coach Bruce Arians he has no eyes it looks like he got punched in the face 100 times then had an allergic reaction and his face swells up.

only improvement was the use of coordinator cam from NCAA, but that also the graphics look more dated than ever.

Street date break watch is on, going to hopefully get it tomorrow.

Any reviews on owner's mode?

Was half tempted to buy the game today as the Rams probably have their best team since the days of Warner with Cook, Givens, Austin, Pead and Bradford resulting in a fun offense to play around with.

Playing it now. Not much different to 13 really. More interactive with the old owners stuff there.

so still the annoying progression system where you have to choose the stats and the daily practices?
Yeah not paying $90 for a roster update.

The practices do nothing in owner mode, I just skip them.

Theres a few stupid ones...Bobby Wagner got shafted as did Christine Michael.

General impressions at this point:

- Good luck playing zone defense. Totally uselsss.
- Generally it is much harder to bring guys down.
- Much harder to get past O-linemen and at the QB.
- Cecil Shorts is ridiculous.

I hope Shorts is ridiculous IRL
