I don't mean predict that Dean Brogan will win the Brownlow or Sydney will win the spoon, but this is the thread to make a prediction that you think could happen but not many others do.

Personally, I think Collingwood are a chance to miss the 8, and I think Brisbane will finish above Richmond.

I think you should quantify the statement in that you have to be able to justify your out there prediction.

I think Geelong will be top 2 once again at the end of the H&A season. The inclusion of Rivers and Caddy, improvement of Vardy and increased competition with McIntosh (if both are fit), a fit Varcoe from day 1, embarrassment from their elimination final performance against Freo. They'll be on a mission.

Hope I'm wrong, as surely one of those top 2 spots is reserved for us :thumbsu:

Brent Stanton to be the leading possession getter in the league.

Came in ~30-ish this year, and with the addition of Goddard, plus (hopefully) a mostly fit midfield, could become an extremely damaging outside mid.

Alwyn Davey for the Coleman.

Oh wait, I did that last year.

AND WAS TOTALLY SERIOUS ABOUT IT.

Carlton will drop down the ladder and Carlton supporters want Malthouse's head.

Already made this prediction in the General forum prediction thread:

Brent Stanton to come second in the Brownlow medal.

Fair call.

I think Collingwood are poorly coached, weakened themselves during trade week (gaining two first rounders in the process it must be said) and have most of the teams below them set to improve significantly.

Brisbane won 11 games with their CHF out all year, their full back (a genuine A grader) playing in the ruck, their ruckman out after Rd 2, and their best midfielder/best player playing forward because of OP. They've also strengthened over the off-season. Richmond still have too many dumb players who will cost them tight games.

Another one...

Gold Coast will come 12th or higher.

Their end to last season was really exciting and promising. It was really good to see.

Agree wholeheartedly with your opinion of Brisbane, finals are not out of the equation for them.

I agree with most of that, especially the Collingwood part.

But which defender played in the ruck for Brisbane?

St Kilda will finish 14th
Richmond will be in the 8 until Round 23
Carlton will finish 13th and there will be OUTRAGE. DELICIOUS OUTRAGE.
Collingwood will finish 8th.
The top 4 will be made up entirely of interstate teams, but a Victorian team will win the flag.

Fair enough.

I assumed most predict Saints to finish around 7th-12th, but I haven't actually bothered to confirm whether that's the case ;)

I can see a dire year for the saints. the stagnating development of the kids (armitage, Geary in particular) and the stars not getting any younger, they need to start blooding some of these 1st - 3rd year kids now and find out who sinks or swims in my eyes.

Adelaide, Collingwood, North and Carlton will not beat us in 2013.

Big Call - Adealide and the Pies are both very decent sides.

I think we will improve all over the ground, adding all our injured players, Winderlich and Goddard will make us very tough to beat, under Hird and Bomber we have closed the gap on Adelaide and Collingwood, last year we beat Adelaide in every aspect of the game except the scroeboard and we lost to Collingwood by less than a kick and only 32 points when we were at our worst.
I really think we will start to see Essendon as being a really good team.

How much improvent will come from replacing Lonergans leg with Goddards?
