October 7, 2011 -- Malthouse said "I could never coach against 'my boys'" at Magpies best and fairest awards

Yeah, ok.

MM wacking TJ and Robbo, claiming they are several people in the media that don't believe him in relation to the timelines of the events.

Pretty heated presser.

Damn hope they have the full presser on the website later.
Mick's so full of shit ever since last year.

Yeah, it was awkward mate.

He referred to many as 'naysayers', which got things off. Robbo and the like followed up, which they should have, but he and Sticks must think we're fools if this all happened last Monday.

SEN or Carlton may upload it a little bit later on.

He's been full of shit for far longer.

Most Collingwood supporters just couldn't see it.

Fox Sports seems to believe what they're being told by Sticks and Malthouse...

Made me sick watching that on foxtel.

Mick in front of the scumbags sponsors. Next to that ****wit kernahan. Disgusting.

**** i hate Carlton.

Eddie start your engines and get suck into them

I'll always respect Mick, he was great for us IMO, not sure why some Pie fans are so offended about him coaching Carlton, he's entitled to do as he chooses, i blame Edd for the whole thing, there was no process into choosing Bucks as coach, he just chose him without thinking who might be available at the time, Bucks was always going to coach Collingwood, but i would've much prefered it was later rather than sooner, Bucks should have taken over when this era finished, not smack bang in the middle of a window.

Mick agreed to the deal i know, if Edd and Mick thought 2012 was time to part ways Edd should have gone through the process of choosing the best coach available, not the golden child he was scared shitless of coaching someone else.

Its good see that Uncle Mick coming to Carlton is really tugging at your heart strings, its clearly visible by the the passion & emotions in your posts...............

I've always wondered about this. If he hadnt agreed to the replacement plan what would have happen? You know was it an offer he couldn't refuse or would he just carried as normal?.. Was he told basically you have 2 years left like it or leave?
Serious question?
This is the question those on the side of 'the succession plan was a bad idea' forget to understand.

My guess, and it's just a guess like anyone else not involved with the club, that MM may have been told to pack his bags if he didn't agree to the deal on the table. Seeing MMs' ego, no way he agrees to the deal if he thought he had an alternative to stay on.

As I've said before, I supported MM becuase he was our coach. He's no longer our coach but an enemy.

Can't help but feel he is doing this out of spite.

Thanks for taking the time to post here, and for sharing your thoughts with us.

All the best, its been a pleasure to read your fine contribution. :)

Last year they said he was a shit coach and all of a sudden he is going to win them a flag. They are a deluded bunch haha. If we thought he was going to win as flags he wasn't going to be replaced by Buckley. I am more than happy with Buckley as head coach.

Make the eight first, then we'll talk.

Buckleys appointment was arrogant, i want the best coach possible to coach our club, that may very well be Bucks but the club didn't even bother to speak to anyone else, that isn't the way a multi million dollar business should operate.

God damn I'm glad Mick is gone.

Me too! :D

Seems to have his eye firmly on Cloke as well.

I thought Mick pwned Tony Jones and Robbo in the presser. Rather than asking intelligent questions about the appointment and what it means for Carlton, Robbo was trying to work an angle for his next bullshit article or 360 ramblethon. Geez that guy really is a boring old drunk.

Just as a football lover, I think this is great. It's going to seriously fan the flames of an old, and at times, fierce rivalry that's kinda been running on fumes for a while now. Let's get some of that genuine hatred back and show the AFL that at its core, this rivalry blows away the manufactured derbies and showdowns every day of the week :thumbsu:

The emotional salivation of the Carlton folk makes for a humorous read, there is a real rabid frothing at the mouth. In knots about MM going toe to toe with Robbo ( or whoever) and saying he will improve the place.

Well, i for one am shocked...This is just so so much about Mick, have they any idea of the ego they have unleashed?

MM is now, or soon will be under the employ of another football club, time to move on, good luck to him.

Malthouse is Carlton. Malthouse is the enemy. I hope he takes the to the gf next year v us and we smash the blue off them

Alternatively, I'd like to see Carlton become the new Richmond and continually finish in 9th place every year...

Mick you are a scumbag now and we all know what your driving force is - to hurt the club which gave you unlimited resources, the best facilities, the best assistants, the best support, the best everything! You gave us just one premiership and few gf loses, we gave you all we could and you agreed to stay on but you changed your mind and are now a navy blue clad enemy.
I hope your future coaching record proves to the world that you can only win when playing for the biggest and richest clubs (us and west coast).... Carlton is a collngwoodfc wannabe.

You are not going to like your reception pies v bloose next year shithouse.

Enjoy having that grumpy, lying, self absorbed and annoying old fart.

"I could never coach against my boys"

Pretty sure he has lost a lot of respect from the playing group, if any of them hadn't fully embraced the coaching change, they have now.

Whilst Carlton are making a lot of changes this could be the right time for their name to reflect what they really want to be......

Pretty much automatic Round 1 opening match I'd say.

HIs recent record does not bare out your opinion.
Not that I have any animosity toward Chocko, he is a Collingwood Captain after all. Malthouse will never have that.
Malthouse may not have been a Collingwood captain, but he will be forever a Collingwood premiership coach. Which one do you think our supporters would revere more, I know who I do.

So did that. Back to school.

Sorry homer. We all aren't great writers like yourself. Go back to the warm and fuzzy blue board where you can enjoy the new signing of your new false prophet and your false new dawn.
