A middle-aged American construction worker, on a self-proclaimed mission to help American troops, armed himself with a dagger, a pistol, a sword, Christian texts, hashish and night vision goggles and headed to the lawless tribal areas between Afghanistan and Pakistan to hunt down, single-handedly, Osama bin Laden.

Hmm, The US government should look to solve multiple problems in one go - offer all death row / over 20 year sentence prisoners there for murder the chance to have their freedom if they agree to go to Pakistan/Afghanistan and can succeed in killing Bin Laden (Muslim prisoners excluded). Those that agree outfit and drop off on the Pakistan / Afghanistan border. Heck even let them have the reward. I think it'd be more of a worry having a bunch of mad serial killers and hoods after you then the US army given their 'success' in the hunt so far
