I take it others had issues importing their characters? Only 1 of my 3 worked 100%. The others maintained their story arcs, but their appearance wasn't saved which really sucked. Had to make them again from memory as best i could

I believe if you didn't make any changes from your character's face save from ME1 to ME2 then the face doesn't transfer over to ME3.

I think that's the fix that Kaysee noted:
- Fixes character importing so you keep the same features from ME2 etc.

Downloaded the DLC last night (and restarted ME3... didn't restart the XBOX though) and the MP changes didn't seem to take effect. Anyone get the DLC and MP changes working?

Will check again tonight... guessing it is either a reboot XBOX issue or timing issue. I'm itching to try out some Batarians.

Had bit of a shitty night trying to get in some GOLD games last night... a combination of:

- players taking ages to get games started, kicked out etc.
- bad groups for GOLD level (ie poor collection of classes), low levels and kicks etc.
- players trying to play GOLD like BRONZE... attempting to solo and no team work. Games over in waves 1-3.
- players being AFK/AFC

Eventually got into a good group (UK dudes) and cleared GOLD a few times, final clear was with 3 players.

Easiest setup for clearing gold is:
- MAP = Firebase White
- ENEMY = Geth

*** Core Classes:
- 1 (or more) Salarian Engineer(s)... use their "Decoy" ability to draw enemies, "Energy Drain" does decent damage too.
- 1 (or more) Quarian Infiltrator(s)... use their "Sabotage" ability on enemy units (make them fight for you... Geth Pyro and Geth Rocket Launchers are very useful), "Tactical Cloak" comes in handy too for grabbing becons.

* The other classes are more flexible, but the more targets you can provide the better... drones, decoys, and "controlled" enemies make it easier. Stick together as a group down in the offices opposite side of the map from your spawn (3 ammo points within reach between waves and 1 safe ammo point behind that location). Quarian Infiltrator is best suited for running and grabbing becons etc whilst others hold office location. QI can use the cloak to run around the map, then Sabotage to control enemy unit (if near becon), then finally another cloak whilst activating becon. Where possible hide behind office desks, if enemies move in front of your cover use the "grab" action for an instant kill.

Should take about 30mins to clear GOLD, but you get heaps of XP and credits. I still want to get the achievement for clearing GOLD on all maps, but it's hard to get good people to do that while most simply farm the above for credits.

Nah that's not true. All three of my characters have gone from 1 to 2 to 3 with no changes. One worked, 2 didn't

I've done the firebase white Geth map a few times. Very easy with one decoy and an infiltrator. You get heaps of takedown kills hiding behind the console.

Pretty much, every game has borrowed from Gears of War in recent times.

I never got around to playing much of any GOW game, so this is still pretty fresh/interesting for myself.

Gears stole it from Dead man walking mode in Max Payne 2 to be fair

I at least rather games try that, than some rudimentary form of competitive MP that nobody will be playing in a weeks time.

Dead Space 2 could've done it and the game would've been miles better because of it. Instead they went for a competitive MP that was clunky and average at best...now I doubt anyone is playing it.

At least with a horde mode or slight variant of that, you generally only need 1 or 2 people to be active to have a good time of it.

I've had a shitton of fun playing the survival (and other co-op) modes on Uncharted, but have barely touched the competitive MP on either 2 or 3. I'll have almost put as much time into MW3's co-op modes as the competitive MP as well.

Just realised on this play-through if you listen to all the stories from the NPC's sitting around on the citidel you can make decisions to help the war effort in the spectre office.

I.e the crazy Asari wanting a gun in the hospital. Once her story is complete you can get her the gun.

Yeh thats not much good to us now. Unless we had the game, waited and waited to play until the patch to get our original character.

I'm on PC.

But I have BF3 (never played because of Skyrim lol), Arkham City and Skyrim installed on my new comp.

I'm about to dl the D3 open beta for the weekend, but will definitely get that when it's out.
