If you can run ME2 on high (I'm surprised you can but it is a very well optimized game) then I doubt you'd struggle to run ME3 on anything less than medium.

I thought ME2 was the better game, but that ME1 did have a better story.

ME2's 'Suicide Mission' sequence was brilliant though; I'd argue the best mission of the series in terms of action, gameplay and story.

The suicide mission was awesome, except it wasn't really a suicide mission

I only had one person die the first time I played. At the first part of the mission when you have to pick a leader and someone to go through the tube, Jacob said something about infiltration so I picked Thane instead of the 'tech expert' you were meant to (i didn't hear that part) and he got shot in the face.

Very excited about the final story in the trilogy, pre-ordered the collectors edition at EB and have a $50 gift card ready.

Easily my favorite series.

This.

Just the premise of travelling across galaxies to different planets with different alien species to save humanity is freakin' awesome!. I'm a real sucker for anything outer-space and also RPG's so this is easily my favourite series also.

It's a shame I never finished number one. From memory, I accidently made a renegade move and killed Wrex when I really didn't want to, so gave up after that.

Have since got ME2 on the PS3, and thanks to the 'Genesis' Interactive Backstory Comic that comes with it and changes your ME2 experience, I now have the full story and have finished my first run through.

Just started again as female Shep.

I played Mass Effect 1 three times (1x paragon, 1x renegade (hilarious), 1x what i would do) and have started my third ME1 character import in ME2. I hate the council but for some reason i have to save them... unless i'm renegade ("As soon as I saw a chance to kill them, I took it...").

The talk and reveal with Sovereign is probably my favorite part in the game, just because it is so well written. Another is when you are talking to Vigil on Ilos, and the twists that come with it while the menu music is playing in the background. It's a phenomanal series and hopefully the script in Mass Effect 3 is a lot tighter with more character development than in the Mass Effect 2.

I never play 'evil' characters in games, but playing as a badass Shepard is too much fun not to do occassionally, especially in ME2. There are some things I always do:

1) Throwing that guy out the window
2) Scaring the hell out of the guy in the interrogation room
3) Shooting Conrad Verner

Can't bring myself to punch the reporter in the face.

I tend to end up being pretty neutral. I think this game allows you to do that without punishing you too much, which is good. Some other games give you the illusion of free will but really, unless you are all good or all bad you miss out on a lot of perks.

I tend to respond how I reckon I would respond if I were Shepherd...if that makes sense. I don't try to be a badass for the sake of it (although some of those options are inevitably quite cool).

It can be a little annoying though when the text snippet on the conversation wheel is misleading. ME isn't too bad there though. FIFA is the worst. I choose to "motivate" one of my star players who is performing poorly and it says that I told the press that the kid is not good enough for this league and should play in a lower division! Talk about misleading.

I think I'll give myself 2 weeks before ME3 comes out to replay through ME1 and 2. I'll be using the same character because I just can't think of Shepherd as being anyone else, at least until I finish the 3rd. I might make a few different decisions in the first two games but most of it will probably be the same (that racist bitch is definitely dying in the first one).

I'm looking forward to ME3 multiplayer... Will play thru with my main: Renegade infiltrator... Then hit up MP before doing my other characters.

I'm doing that with my current playthrough. First playthrough I started this but then eventually pretty much just chose paragon options. Second time I was renegade and now i'm doing what i would do.

I remember Conrad Verner from the first game my first time playing. I got up to the final confrontation and i chose the renegade option "There are no good fights", expecting him to yell or something and instead he shoves him against the wall and pointed a gun to his face. That is not what i would have done lol

I hope you can join the Reapers and not just piss off back to dark space, but help them destroy the galaxy.

Yeah... Nahh.

That didn't bode too well for Saren. Reapers aren't someone biological life forms simply 'join' and all is good.

They never gave you that option in any of the other games. Or in Dragon Age, or really in any game they ever did except KOTOR1 where it was kind of expected. The end is the end.

Yeah, it's too bad. The Reapers can win in this one:

http://www.gamefront.com/reapers-can-win-in-mass-effect-3-says-bioware/

It's just too bad you can't become one and help them win. I know it would contradict everything Shepard's said and done to do with stopping the Reapers thus far, but would it really be too far fetched if Shepard was convinced that evolving into a Reaper is in the best interests of humanity?

It may be necessary because of say, the threat of black holes, dark energy or something that threatens the existence of the entire universe greater than that of the Reapers. Becoming one may be the only way to survive it, although I would like to take it a step further and destroy the galaxy because I like playing as an evil bastard.

What about becoming a Reaper? ....

Individual biological life forms don't simply become a 'reaper' :)

My understanding is that it takes millions I biological life forms to be fused/assimilated in with metal and tech in order to create a single reaper.

Or do I have it all wrong?

Nah, you're right. Would be nice to help them harvest millions of people to make a new one, like what they tried to do in Mass Effect 2. But somehow I imagine the choices you make at the end will be fixed in one location, as was the case in the previous two games.

Multiplayer is looking better than expected. Glad that they've gone for co-op instead of competitive

Fuuuuaaarrrkkk that looks insane!! Haven't been this excited for a game since...Mass Effect 2 :p. This'll be the first game that I preorder a Collector's Edition for too since it's the last one in the series (but not the universe). I'm on Xbox so hopefully I can play coop with you other Xboxers.

That does look very good.

It's hard to imagine how you could arrive at the Reaper-****ing ending.

SPOILER: (highlight to reveal)

You only got Shepherd dying in ME2 if you didn't do any of the loyalty quests and made all of the wrong team selections in the final battle. I don't know of anyone who tried to play seriously yet got that ending. I had to YouTube it to make sure it existed

So hyped for this right now. I've started another play through of ME1 and it holds up pretty well, except for the shooting. But everything else is so good, I especially miss the customisation, from ammo types to weapon attachments, even suiting up your squad mates. If they can combine the customisation of ME1 with the gameplay of ME2 this is going to be one of the best games ever made

are there any chance of spoilers in the achievements? cause i don't want spoilers :)
Yes there is definitely the chance of spoilers.

Put down my cash for the collectors edition Me3 pack today. So pumped for this game, cant ****ing wait!
