Good stuff, did you get through unscathed?

ie anyone die for you?

Lost Garrus to the bugs, Kasumi (shot in the head closing the door, Miranda in the final battle and Thane. Also watched the red headed Yeoman chick die, was shattered had spent all game trying to bed her before the collectors took her. Went and jumped Jack and then Tali, Sheppard certainly gets around...

Spoiler tags next time :D.

You need to do all the loyalty missions to keep ppl alive, also once you get the IFF mission only do loyalty side missions, any other side mission after that the crew die. If you do all your loyalty missions, get your ship ready and go straight to the IFF you can save everyone including Kelly. :)

Also need to pick the best ppl for diff roles on the suicide mission ie Miranda or Garrus for the 2nd team lead a tech to go into the tunnel like Tali or Legion and so on.

With that many causalities your ME3 is going to be interesting

I lost Miranda's loyalty when she was fighting with Jack in her quarters, couldn't get it back. I stuffed Thanes up. I had Kasumi's loyalty but sent her into the tunnel as I figured whoever I sent would die anyway and didn't want to lose Tali. I was surprised a Garus death, he was loyal but could tell I would lose someone when I stupidly chose Taylor to create the biotic field, I figured it would be Taylor not garus that would be taken.

The Miranda/Jack fight and Tali/Legion fight you need either high paragon or high renegade to keep both loyalties. The tunnel bit Tali or Legion will survive the run. I used Miranda for the 2nd team lead (from reading she will survive as team lead even without loyalty) & Samara for the barrier field.

Continuing on with Ant's post...

When assigning people to roles in the suicide mission you need to assign according to what "skils" are needed:

- an Engineer to override the door (?IIRC) (so Tali or Legion are the best... maybe Kasumi).
- someone with leadership to hold the location (so Miranda, Garrus or Zaeed I think are best from memory)
- and obviously a biotic for the field (Jack or Samara

On my 1st play through I kept all alive except my crew... b/c I did all loyalty missions (maxed Renegade for the Miranda/Jack conflict), but did half of them after the IFF mission, so I took too long and crew died.

2nd play though I kept all alive though... just did Legion's loyalty mission after the IFF.

BioWare has announced that it will be releasing extra ending content for Mass Effect 3 this summer in the form of free DLC.

The Mass Effect Extended Cut DLC will feature new cinematics and epilogue scenes that will expand upon the game's ending, providing extra detail and insight to fans. It will be available for free on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC - as long as you download it before April 2014.

"With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team's artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe."

Awesome... had a feeling Bioware wouldn't be the type of company that made people pay for something like this... they often have gamers interests at heart. Still good to see it in print.

Hmmm @ the free before April 2014... 1st thought was chuckles at who would still be playing it in 2 years, but 2nd thoughts are perhaps there is more to come. Maybe not a ME4, but a new ME related title that is connected to Shepard's exploits. Perhaps due for release in 2 years and will cash in on people paying for the ME3 DLC then.

A very interesting time frame and perhaps a guide to the next ME related game (maybe on the 4th Gen consoles).

EDIT: actually if it is released on 4th gen consoles we'll all have to pay for that DLC on to the new consoles anyway... hmm.

Yeah so i have a question.

I took EDI and Garrus on the last mission. I like the way their powers balance and it suits my playing style. Anyway, approaching the conduit, shit got real and it seemed they were killed in the explosion. Later, I watch Joker in the normandy, doing his best to escape from a big green cloud hurtling toward everything in the universe. Then he crashes on a jungle planet. Out pops the wise-cracking cripple, now sporting green eyes and sparkly skin on account of me rewriting his dna with robot parts, (that sounds more stupid the more I think about it, actually) arm in arm with his sentinent fleshlight EDI. Smashlee wanders out behind them, still clearly exhausted from the smashing I gave her only hours before. Which begs the questions:

1. What happened to garrus? And;
2. How the did edi survive the explosion, and harbringer's lazer which boned a heap of alliance vehicles and troopers? The one that left shepard a bleeding, limping mess?
3. Even if she did survive, how the hell did she end up back on the normandy, running from the beam?

I don't have the exact answers but this is my input:

1 - no-one knows what happened to Garrus. ^ see above... Bioware are releasing new DLC that will explain some of the events further.
2 - who knows... did you see her dead body??? NO... perhaps she revived whilst Shepard was up in the Citadel. FTR you don't know how long Shepard was on the citadel for.... IIRC he simply awoke in a daze after entering the beam.
3 - Shuttle could have collected here whilst shepard was on the Citadel having chats with ghost child.

Again, wait and see the DLC... that might give you and the rest of us closer.

Perhaps they'll be going ahead with the 1st person shooter they were working on.

Wish it was on the Duke Nukem platform. Shepard going to Miranda... shake it, baby! :D

Finally Finished

Highlight ->> I get the ending hate now. Went with controlling Reapers but didn't like how to being with there were 3 distinct (thought maybe not so) choices you had to choose. Though reading up on the indoctrination theory, I like it.

But I loved the game in general. Only main gripe, too many side missions that didn't involve anything
.<--

Never was heavy on Halo, so ME is really the only gaming trilogy I've been invested in, and still have to say it was a blast.

The Indoctrination Theory is wonderfully well thought out...
but if it were true, the 'end' is in fact no such thing and the fight is still raging on Earth! (and the odds of Shepard surviving to see it out, if determined by Shepard living/dying in the current ending, are AWFUL).

The whole magic transport beam thing remains a crappy plot device, either way.

It's one of these ending types

I didn't play the first two; but how many of these chicks can you bone?

And if I haven't played the first couple, can I still bone them, and which one is the easiest?

LOL... there are easier ways to bone a fake CGI chick online King? ;)

There are 15 characters across the 3 games you can sleep with (males and females)

OTT the most common chicks are: Liara, Ashley, Tali, Miranda, Jack, and Samantha.

Liara is probably the easiest, but the boning is only enabled once you progress to certain points within the game (ie normally at the start of the final Act before the chit hits the fan). You can be on great terms with your potential partners early in the game, but you can't force the action until after certain gameplay acts/sequences have taken place.

A new and free DLC is now live (for PC) and tomorrow for consoles.

However, I don't believe this yet fixes/extends the ending... includes:

- Fixes character importing so you keep the same features from ME2 etc.
- Connectivity crashing (i've had a few of those).
- Six new MP characters to unlock (including Batarins)
- New MP equipment.

Bioware are working on the DLC to address the ending issues.

PS - Glad I saved up my MP credits over the Easter weekend... hopefully will unlock some new DLC stuff tonight/tomorrow.

Have deliberately avoided this thread so as not to spoil the game.

Started a few days back. Must admit the first few hours were a little bit low rent in terms of dialogue compared to 1 and 2. It's getting better tho

Gameplay still very good.

I take it others had issues importing their characters? Only 1 of my 3 worked 100%. The others maintained their story arcs, but their appearance wasn't saved which really sucked. Had to make them again from memory as best i could

yeah my character face got blown away. Spent ages working on it so gave up trying to reconstruct.

Man that sucks. Yeah my female character got imported perfectly, but my 2 guys, no dice.

One of my original guys was a steven seagal look alike, tried to reconstruct him as best i could but he looks more like Pav now. Very disappointing

My male Shep's face didn't import at all because of it being from ME1, so I just did default shep (Sheploo) and I actually really like the default face. It just seems that the animation works better on the predetermined face, than a face with millions of variables that slightly change how the animation looks.

Strong nose.

Heh yeah it sorta came about by accident. did the face all front on...without even looking at the profile view.

Said "yep...close enough" and started playing.

First cut scene reveals side profile of epic snoz complete with big hook. looks like rabbi shepherd
