Looks pretty good. The main characters seem a bit weak, from the minimal amount of footage Ive seen. Will be a day1 purchase

Graphics look decent but not sure how I feel about all the boosting and jumping haha. I suppose with the focus on exploration, it makes sense to add such features in - just kind of foreign to the corridors and cover gameplay I'm more used to.

Also not sure I like the all weapons being accessible to all classes - seems to kind of diminish any incentives for playing as a certain class. Maybe I'm wrong though.

So far none of the squad mates I've seen really interest me bar that Krogan. :D

Will be interesting to see how ME goes - IMO, the Dragon Age franchise never topped the squad mates from Origins - I hope that's not the case for ME...

I knew there was jet packs from the PS4 Pro reveal, but man this looks as bad as CoD with all the boosting.

Well at least im going to go into the game with low expectations.

to me, it looks like ME3 with better graphics and a shitty boost mechanic.

I mean yes, i will probably be playing the shit out of this but ME3 came out 5 years and this doesn't seem to be a huge improvement.

Dragon Age had a great initial game and two pretty average games all around unfortunately.

DA2 was an almost game.. great characters destroyed by EA rushing it out the door so quick they only built the one city

Man, I need to play ME3 again I think.
The combat from that video looks WAY better than ME3.

I'm not a fan of boosting and all that COD shit, but this actually looks enjoyable and possibly optional as well, given there are cover mechanics.

I'm about 80% way through an ME2 playthrough, so will try smash out ME3 in the leadup, will give me a good indication of how much improvement there has been between games.

The jump between ME1 and 2 was rather profound (not all for the good), but it's crazy those two games came out on the same system.

Maybe i gave up too early but i found DA3 a worse game. Yes it was open world but it had ZERO soul and the entire game was a fetch quest.

Yep I got bored with DA3 as well, once I closed the main green portal thingy...I lost interest with the fetch quests

Few years between the 2, still think ME1 has the best story of the 3. A remaster with the interface cleaned up I'd buy in a heart beat.

Oh yeah, I was mainly meaning from a technical point of view ME1 and 2 are night and day.

the problem with ME2 was it was a filler episode in some ways, like there was no real impact compared to ME1 and ME3.

ME1 had the problems with the explorer car thing. I see its back, lets hope its not as shit as the previous version.

I do like that they have kept Biotics class much like the old games, but still not happy about removing the classes so you can be them all at once.

Im hoping MP is like it was for ME3 i had heaps of fun playing that.

I have a feeling we will have a limit amount of skill points to assign to skills so we can't have all the powers at once or be good at them at least. Will probs go full soldier again with a bit of tech to break down shields

I must be the only one who couldn't care less about the class system in Andromeda. I always play as a soldier in the trilogy and I doubt I will do much different in this.

I'm not sure what the issue is about the classes. You put the points in what you want and like any other party based RPG you fill out your party with the skills you are lacking. The only difference here is you aren't locked into the one class from the start so you have the opportunity to mix and match your squad instead of running the same one the entire time.

I think I must have been one of the few to enjoy DA2 - didn't have a lick on Origins and was a big shift from the style/tactical game play of the original to a more streamlined action kind of game. Had some decent characters but yeah one environment setting, and lacking the epic stakes of the first game hurt it IMO. Plus I didn't really care for the mages vs paladins war either.

Awakening though was bland as heck. I platinumed it but geez it was a grind. Not a fun job. My hope is Andromeda doesn't become like that!

I liked it too! Plan on playing it again shortly, on PC with a few mods. Some great party characters in it, maybe second only to ME2.

I agree with Ant - it's so rough around the edges, all those reused locations... Reckon it would have been a classic with another year in development.

Think an RPG set (mostly) in 1 big city over a decade or so is a pretty good idea. You REALLY needed to see the city change over that time due to your actions though.

Can't remember exactly what happened, but I recall it going off the rails a bit at the final battled. Seemed a bit silly.

Seems they really overcorrected with DA3! It's one of my favourite games of the last few years but it's BIG mostly for the sake of it. I remember them bragging about how huge the Hinterlands map was. Seemed a bit passive agressive in hindsight, like Tom Green making a cheese sandwich

6 Squamates, I don't mind a smaller number if they have deep, interesting backstories that your want to explore.

I think ME1 had 6 as well?

Ashley, Kaiden, Wrex, Liara, Tali and Garrus.

The quality of those guys I'll be stoked.

Dude on Reddit got to play, he answered some questions:

Edit: oh sorry, didn't know it was going to paste the whole thing, if you want me to delete, let me know.
