I know there's a lot of knockers - and let's be honest - he's certainly deserved the criticism at times. He just ran hard, had no awareness, got run down a lot and made poor choices with the ball.
This year he's slowly improved - he's gone from doing one or two nice things - to doing four or five. He works his arse off - chases hard. What I like is when he streams away from the back with ball in hand and makes good choices by foot - they're normally thumping kicks. An example is that dish from 50 to Jack in the goalsquare last week.
Today was brilliant in the wet - harassed the opposition and broke hard when we had the ball. His ability to keep his feet changed the momentum at times.
When he plunged into a contest in the fourth - extracted the ball and handballed it out to a team-mate I was genuinely excited - if he can go in and win his own ball and then burn off opponents when he has it - he will continue to be given games.
I really like him as a high half forward who can be added to the midfield rotation.
Keep going Whitey
