Move the club to Sydney, you get to have 19 on the field with no penalty, Barry Hall admitting he was given a free card for them to win the 2005 GF, 10% cola, academy kids because, well sYdNeY, gifted games by the umpire so they make the finals, and players bumping opposition breaking their jaw and get off.
The AFL team gets a legup every second week.

A two year trade ban for recruiting too many KPFs when AFL commisioners had person financial gain from buddy going to gws..

The official AFL investigation into interstate dominance heralding in an era of Vic flags. Only 2 non Victorian teams in the last 16 years have won flags but the Aints still can't get one. Must sting.

So…

Round 1 mcadam choses to bump a man in the chest who has the ball in his hands.. it was a hard bump but didnt cause anymore than a bad winding..

3 games.. appealed but upheld by the tribunal..

R23 mcadam cops a bump to the face that compress fractures his cheekbone..

by a swans player who chose to bump a player without the ball in what looked a clumbsy effort to put a shephard on for his team mate.. and actually comtacted the face with enouhh force to break a cheekbone..

But thats just two matches?..

Geez… can this league be anymore incompetent?..

What. A. Fxxkn. Absolute. Circus.
Further to that in terms of the league's incompetence...how can you get hit so hard in the head that it literally fractures bone - yet there's no trauma to the brain??

The point of his shoulder likely hit his cheek.

I know someone who had depressed cheekbone from a golf ball but no concussion

if Duryea got 1, then how does Mccartin not at least get the same, McCartin made no play at the ball whatsoever, nor did he tackle, absolutely he chose to bump, takes 1 step sideways then straightens up to bump.
remember Ben Log in 2020, who got 3 weeks, for not making contact with the head. who was rubbed out on "potential to cause injury", and missed 2 fianls

the team you play for has more to do with the outcome than the action

Rhyan Mansell sitting at home baffled...

Onus is on the player to protect the head McCartin didn't. Players have gotten suspended for less than that (accidental head clashes in tackles etc).

AFL darlings get looked after at the Tribunal again.

Yes, correct. I argued this in the Mansell thread. Sometimes when players go for the ball, there's a collision, it does not mean it was delibrate and then warrant a suspension.

have a look at this clip of Ryder's bump on Will Day, Day kicks the ball then veers 40 degrees off his line, Paddy has his hands out to try and avoid the collision, but it didn't matter then, so why does it matter now. look at how Ryder plants his foot to decelerate

The incident was graded as careless conduct with high impact and high contact, resulting in a two-match ban.

32s mark

shut up while you are ahead ya right w***er
enjoy your cheated for club til it becomes the bloods in a couple weeks, btw wtf is bloods culture being a club that just about wins nothing and is forced to move and then given more money than the rest for their players, joke of a side joke of a decision just like how your champs drop the ball soon as get touched and get holding the man. Nevermind clearly blind umpires you are just as blind.
Beat the Eagles this week.
Go on.

Let’s break it down:

Before ball bounces, McAdam clearly has eyes for the ball, hard to tell where McCartin is as he’s out of frame.
View attachment 1782740
McAdam still over the ball, McCartin still out of frame.
View attachment 1782741
McAdam has hands positioned to pick up ball, McCartin just enters frame.
View attachment 1782742
Funny bounce happens, both players still have eyes for the ball.
View attachment 1782743
McAdam taps ball on, McCartin very clearly second to ball in a position to bump.
View attachment 1782746
Same as above.
View attachment 1782749
McAdam still in the action of tapping the ball, McCartin now clearly elects to bump instead of reaching for the ball.
View attachment 1782754
Bump occurs, McCartin still makes no attempt to win the ball.

In summary, the whole way through McCartin was second to the ball, even with the funny bounce McAdam does not overrun the ball as he taps it on, McCartin makes no attempt to win the ball, instead chooses to bump. He makes contact to the head, resulting in a fractured cheekbone.

Now I know this is split second stuff, but the AFL has been suspending players for split second decisions for years. Despite what you said McCartin is second to the ball, clearly initiates contact and does not attempt to win the ball, making contact to the head resulting in an injury. That has to be a suspension.
Too much effort.
Go do something useful now.
McCartin will be free to play.

Ohh touched a nerve hey.

Got the legups the faux team from Sydney continues to gets after 40 years, we would have won 5. Doesn't sting not to win a flag. real teams like WCE, Hawks, Geelong etc deserve them as they win them without the assistance and blatant cheating the AFL club gets from H.O. Without that assistance Sydney would have folded in 1990 as Sydney supporters are so shallow that can only support a team that wins. Dire club with plastic supporters.

Must be time for you to crack out The Streak DVD again and have a lie down

I can't see how this gets overturned, looks a cut and dried suspension unless the tribunal apply the old Sydney finals discount.

A lot of saints supporters with strong opinions on this one.

I wonder why.
probably because we keep seeing our players keep getting rubbed out with excessive punishments and other clubs keep getting a free ride for incidents that would have our players out for extended periods

Did he elect to bump or was he just there contesting the ball? Was there another way he could have contested the ball?
McCartin didn't contest the ball.

You are the same muppet who argued Dan Butler's tackle on Blakey deserved to be suspended. You're quite amusing to observe from the outside, because you're so convinced of your own impartiality.

McCartin bumped him, broke his cheekbone, and didn't get close to the ball. Suspension should've been inevitable, but here we are.

I don't normally bother with this board but when I saw that McCartin had gotten away with this bump, decided to check in.

Absolute. Farce.

This league is a joke.

I don't blame Sydney fans for defending their player, it's a tribal game, and people are biased.

You can't go around bumping players in the head and breaking their cheeks.

Unless you play for Sydney (or another AFL preferred team) and it is around finals time.
