Like-for-like replacement for McDonald I feel, seems to have pretty decent skills too. Plenty of times found himself with space in the middle and was able to hit up forwards leading at him.

11 tackles last week, 12 this week. I can see why Neil Craig was interested.

has had two good games.. i know we all want something to talk about, but lets keep it under control.

i havent felt this bad after a loss since 2000 GF... cant wait for next week.. hope the boys can bring the same intensity.

Is he eligible for a nomination this week? Surely he needs recognition.

Today - 18 touches, 5 marks, 12 tackles!, 5 inside 50's.

Needs to keep finding more of the ball - more strength and more fitness will help. But certainly does all the non-negotiables. Skills are tidy, runs straight and seems to use the ball within his capability. Not sure he has to become an out an out tagger, but should look to model his game on someone like Sewell or Ling.

McDonald replacement. Like for like. Comes into a well-organized, forward thinking side though, unlike Junior when he started. Looks like he'll be a gem when we come good

Why? We can't get down after this loss. I know it hurts but we've gotta keep our heads up for the Boys. Someone involved with the club will read this sometime this week I reckon so let them show the boys how positive we are, that we're proud of them.

Head Up:thumbsu:

Got to have respect for the kid, turning down an offer from the crows to play for back to back spooners.... hopefully he saw where we are headin gand wante to be here for it?, but today i was super impressed (esspecially the first half) found alot of the ball and used it pretty well i reckon. could be the grimes break out type player of 20.10

This kids a real beauty. He's a goer and a real tackling machine. With kids like this I think our constant beltings are in the past. Touch wood.

I wasn't aware that he got an offer from the Crows.

They offered him a spot on the senior list but he decided to stay on the rookie list for us instead in order to repay the club's faith in him.

Loyalty is often at a premium in the modern world, so it's very good to see it in this form.

He's a gem this kid.

I agree, a great RD selection from our recruiting dept.

We may not have a winning culture (yet), but if this is true then we're going a good way to building a loyal culture. And I think loyalty breeds success (Brad Green :D )

Good stuff:thumbsu:

Hey MM, my understanding is that; Neil Craig was very interested. Actually offered him a senior contract at Adelaied - Melbourne counter offered with a senior spot but McKenzie stayed on the rookie list so that we could have 1 extra pick in the National draft.

Melbourne gave him an unwritten promise that he would be the first player elevated as soon as it was possible.

Agree 100% with that, an offensive tagger who makes his man accountable for him also.
