Who would you rather on your list?

Deledio is flashier, has more pace etc. but I can't ever see him matching McLean for either impact, or consistency.

McLean also has well developed leadership qualities that should see him become MFC captian within the next 4 or 5 seasons.

I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to suggest Deledio is better at this point in time - so to make the poll fair, we'll say it's about who you woudl rather over the next ten years (barring injury etc.)?

I'd still take McLean, he is just a born winner, has all the talent he needs but more importantly, knows what to do with it and backs himself every time.

Who id have on my list? Deledio..

McLean is a good player, but we already have Mitchell and Hodge who are better inside players than him.

Deledio would compliment our team quite well at the minute..

Deledio. Think he will turn into a ripper player (already pretty good)

I would say Deledio>>Walker>>Cooney/McClean

But they are all pretty good players.

Toss of the coin job really. Picked Deledio because he has that game-breaking capability that not many players have. Added to the fact that he is still 19, and he looks a very good prospect.

It's a good poll. I rate McLean very highly, and see him as one of the emerging midfield superstars. He is tough, gets the ball and kicks well too. A player that oozes class, yet oozes toughness as well, relishes a challenge, and when you are trying to win a flag, they are the guys you want.

Deledio is the epitomy of the word overrated

His 2nd seadon has been poor if you ask me. He has hardly had any impact on any games

In Brocks 2nd season, he polled 3 BOG's on brownlow medal night

And this his 3rd year, he has become an elite midfielder

Mclean > Deledio, and by a longgggggggggggggg way

Deledio.
The improvement in Deledio's game will be much more significant in the next two years than Mclean.
Deledio is a polished user of the ball and can play a number of positions, wing, hff, hbf, ff or on the ball.
Deledio everytime for me, and I think we'll soon see why.

One thing people. Deledio was given some actual space last week, where he wasnt being tagged, as he was playing off half back. Incidently, it was perhaps his best game of the year as he got to run and bounce with the ball - he was terrific. My point is that once he learns how to find this space playing in the midfield, he'll be doing it consistantly, and we'll see why he went at number one.

yes your really neutral and you know jack about footy, Deledio has been excellent for a second year player who is still 19yo

McLean is currently a much better player, had an extra year in the system though.

Having said that we need link players with skill and pace so we'd probably take Deledio right now to go with our inside clearance players. Would fit in pretty well actually.

Mclean is a star and will be up there with the bets midfielders in the comp
BUT deledio is the next chris judd. give him a few more years hes only 19 gets tagged every week will learn how to brake the tags and u wait and see wat this man will do i want him at geelogn bad! i love deleds

and at the same time mclean gets tagged every single week and still racks up the posessions. hes an excellent user of the ball and id say deffiantely uses the ball atleast to the same standard as deledio. plus being constantly injured and didnt have a preseason he can still dominate.

It IS hard to judge because i wouldve only said mclean last yr and deledio this yr are of similar standard but mclean is one of the most improved in the comp so its no certainty deledio is gonna have that improvement.

As for whoever says deledio is the next judd; well i cant see deledio winning a brownlow next season and i dont think there will be another judd for a long time. Comments like this are just stupid because he has shown no where near as much talent as judd had at this stage of his career.

You miss the point demonfire. Im aware that Mclean is better at Deledio than breaking the tag right now, and has been the quicker learning. Im just saying that Deledio will be able to play to his full strength once he learns how to break the tag :)
