But regardless, I think the only situation where people have suggested getting Medhurst would be a good idea is in the event that we are trading Tarrant for Pick #8 alone, in which case some people are saying they would ask for Pick #8 and Medhurst, just to get a little more out of it.

I'd prefer to just leave Medhurst out altogether, just to ensure the deal gets pushed through. If we really want a player like that, we could look at Aaron Edwards from the VFL, who seems quite similar to Medhurst to me.

If it wasn't for Farmer he would have never been dropped. In fact, if the shoe was on the other foot, ie Farmer being dropped, would Medhurst have had a stellar season? quite possibly.

Seriously you'll love him if you get him. I would be very upset to see him go. He works bloody hard on the training track.

he will win you more games in the near future than what thomas will. plus it would give you the opportunity to play didak and thomas further up the ground - maybe even leave didak on the ball for extended periods etc. medhurst plays close to goals and would feed brilliantly of anthony rocca.

Have you ever thought that the reason that Meddy hasn't kicked goals in victoria in the past might be due to the fact that Freo won very few games over there?! Afterall, it would be reasonable to assume that a small forward is going to rely strongly on team success

Fair point to Kokoda - but lets just remember that he would be living permantly in Melbourne, training & playing with a melbourne based club and not having to travel 4 hours to each game over there

And as for him being dropped - that is only because he and Farmer sufficated each other - in years gone past, when Farmer was down, Meddy was the one at the top of his game - kicking 50 goal seasons etc.
