Well, what a weekend. Just got back from Melbourne and had the opportunity to see 4 good footy games (all but Thursday nights) and even a basketball final (Titans vs Tigers). All sported out, me thinks.

Sundays game - a great result and the Adelaide support in the crowd was fantastic. Personally, I wished we played all our games at Colonial (I never knew why people complained about the place, I think its has great atmosphere and whereever you sit yoy are close to the action) and our record in Melbourne over the past 12 months is 6 wins and 3 losses. It was a pity about those white maggots who attempted to officiate the game. Can someone please explain, what does one have to do to get a holding the ball decision!

Still, I had never seen Johncock before and like Big Kev, I'm excited. With both McLeod and Johncock in the side I think we are going to be treated to some very special moments over the next couple of years.

Now for the Cats this week to get the ball really rolling.

Tipping - who would have expected the Saints, Roos and Dees to get up. Still that is the great thing early in a season...

You're quite right about Colonial. I was going to tip the Roos, but went for Port based on home ground advantage. I only got 4 right this week.

Cheer Squad Rocks Colonial

We get the Old Colonial Rockin:D hehehehehe big girl Port power losers, I would have picked the Roos had I known that Port have never beaten them before.

Now, what is it about these two that I believe I've seen them playing somewhere else b4??? Can't seem to put my finger on it!

Oh wait...it's coming to me...no, there it goes...

Is that a tinge of regret there tredders?? The ones that got away??

They may have both played with the Magpies in the SANFL but the sad fact for you is that McLeod became a star in the AFL at the mighty Adelaide Crows, and Johncock will follow suit in the near future :)

Tredders - How many non-magpies players playing for the Power? The answer is lots & in fact most of the squad, because they are 2 separate entities (which you guys keeping telling us). Not our fault you let some of the good players from the maggies get away. May be Mark better have a chat to Steven.

10 out of 40 is still a pretty high percentage.......

and I'm sure Mark chats to Stephen quite regularly about Magpie prospects...........as you are fully aware of it's the draft that decides where people play these days and we're quite happy with our pickups from there.
