If you actually have the funds/capacity, and don't have Gold membership, I'd buy a GF package now and sell it if you don't end up needing it. A Richmond or Sydney fan would snap it up.
Yep I reckon I might bite the bullet and buy the package, worst case scenario a Richmond fan will buy it, they'll get through for sure

So basically going on numbers posted in this thread as a Priority 2 member I have roughly a 1 in 20 chance of a ticket shall we get through? Jaysuz I'm not a gambling man but I don't like those odds :expressionless:

What's the dealio with the WCE package? Anyone have rough prices?
Cat 2: $1995 (second level)
Cat 3: $1895 (ground level)
Cat 4: $1650 (bottom of the top tier)
Cat 5: $1350 (middle of the top tier)

I feel like a West Coast salesman here! haha

Is it considered scalping (and a criminal offence) if you resell an unused GF ticket for less than face value?

I've emailed literally every single other club, most are the same deal - only Ultimate Package left.

Brisbane have single seats available for the Front Bar package, North have their breakfast, but West Coast represent the best value available for those.
Thanks, strange West Coast would have so many available still...

It is a tricky one, because you paid over $1000 for the tickets however they are actually worth less than $500.
I'm sure there's some leeway as technically you also get the experience of the Grand Final Eve dinner, or Carlton Draught bar, I'm sure that's worth at least $500 #rolleyes

As a silver member I have to wait till 2pm to register which is killing me
Yeah I'm an interstate member, I don't think when you register has any effect on your ballot chances though, hoping if we make it so do GWS so there's a greater chance to get a ticket haha

Wouldn't GWS unused Priority 1 seats go to their Priority 2 members ballot before the other competing side?

I know the Membership girl on the phone said it's not first in best dressed but 'lucky draw' also that it's not gaurennteed because we'll we're not Gold. Fingers crossed for GWS though so there's more of a chance!

their total allocation would be less as they only have 20000 members compared to richmond who would get a bigger allocation due to 70000+ members, which means we get more tickets if GWS make it

I know that there are some priority 2 MCG members that if there's 2 interstate sides in the grandfinal they easily get tickets and that not many go.

Fwiw I just clarified this with club. She has assured me that as a gold member we are guaranteed tickets even if we have selected no standing room. Said this is only of relevance to other membership categories. Hopefully she is right!
