I'm seriously thinking of buying one of those WCE packages but am hesitant to spend that kind of coin, and then the Crows don't make it.

If I wait until the result of our prelim, would West Coast's packages sell out?

I've been in contact with the WC rep over the past week or so, this was an email from him on Monday:

"Completely sold out of our Category 6’s mate but plenty left of all the others."

From the initial email he sent me, WC were allocated the following:
Cat 2: 110 seats over two bays
Cat 3: 120 seats over two bays
Cat 4: 140 tickets over one bay
Cat 5: 165 tickets over one bay
Cat 6: 245 tickets over two bays

Sounds like they have a fair few left, but I wouldn't be risking waiting until we win the prelim!

Always found it a bit ****ing ridiculous that every club has the ability to profit off this. Surely the clubs make enough money to not have to screw the fans.

Would rather all these tickets be allocated to the competing teams, much smaller amount for generic afl packages with profits split between clubs if really needed

what if one of you gets tickets and the others dont
Its likely that it will happen that way. It's better someone gets one than no one.

BTW it's a little disappointing that bronze memberships (three game memberships) get the same priority treatment as silver membership. It feels like 11 game members should have priority over 3 games members.

If we look like winning the Prelim, have their website ready to go and buy one ASAP. The advantage we have is the Friday night. I reckon you'd get one.

Easy registration, but annoyed at the AFL for the system. Had a choice to make, register my gold membership by myself and have a guaranteed membership but not sit with my mates, or register my gold membership with my silver mates and lose my priority 1 status.

What do we do with our allocation of tickets in years we don't make it? We don't have a dinner or anything do we?

Why are you annoyed at the club ?

It's the AFL that has that system and considering that only gold members are guaranteed a ticket not sure how it could work any other way.

Does anyone know more details about allocation?

So the club gets around 17k tickets for members.

How many gold members do we have?

What is the split of those 17 k tickets. i.e. how many cat 1, 2, 3, down to standing etc ?

Basically trying to calculate the odds of getting a decent spot.

Not sure that's any issue with the club, it's your mates not having a Gold?

If we get in and I have a ticket (Gold so I would) I don't care where my seat is haha.. I'll just be happy to be there!

What category are you?

Well AFL then, its an easy fix. Everyone registers individually, and then successful silver ballot members and gold members can fill in a similar online form that allocates seating in groups.

I don't know exact figures but after Priority 1/Gold memberships are allocated tickets, there's probably an absolute max of 1500 tickets to go amongst the remaining 35000 Priority 2 tickets that register.

It's pot luck.

Thats not a lot of seats for the club who makes the GF.

What are the seating allocations for the other 60k seats if the two GF teams take the rest?
