Has Dean kemp been awarded compo yet from the Ricciuto hit ( and others) that he's seeking from the AFL?

Unfortunately for wce i think this week you will smash us we just dont have the side to beat they way Adelaide is playing footy at the moment
In saying that though i would love to see the 2 sides go at it in the finals

Took Modra 2 years to recover ( Mentally ) from that Worsfold hit.......didn't find his mojo again until a game at Kardinia.

Mods didn't even get a free kick for that. The days where you could smash a bloke from front on in a marking contest. Bad days.

How many weeks for Worsfold if that happened now?

3 if your a Collingwood player called Wellingham, about 6 0r 7 if your Byron Pickett from Port Adelaide. Hazard a guess Taylor Walker would get around 6.

I remember standing at the members bar at half time in prelim in 06 talking to my brother about getting to melbourne for the GF next week. Still gets to me :( Heartbreaking loss i would prefer to forget.

I know what you're saying, my mate and I had gold tix and at half time we started to talk and dream about "next week". 60 minutes later I was walking out of the ground feeling like a family member died and knowing in my heart that our premiership window was gone.

Bump

Remember a great win over the Eagles in Round 22 1998, going into the finals. Effectively meant we got a double chance. Left us in a great mood, full of confidence going into the next week. Mods kicked 4 goals, Roo 3 Brownlow votes, Linden Stevens made his debut plucked from Sturt's reserves. Then we got smoked by Melbourne. Mods and Linden Stevens never played again. A week is a long time in footy.

And Scott Cummings kicking 14 goals against us in 2000

I think the 1997 Qualifying Final win against them is a very underrated victory in our history. It was our first finals match under Blight - in fact our first finals match for four years. That was an important win mentally in the scheme of the back to back flags.

Memories about Crows/WC?

The worst day at the football I have ever experienced.

Yep, agree.

At the end if the game a little kid was sitting next to me started crying. I said to my mate, quick lets go as I just knew if I hung around any longer, I was going to start crying as well.

Only time I've felt totally emotional after a loss. Normally it's anger, players, umpire, coach but not that game.

Mate, I was sobbing after the siren. The siren went, I let out a massive "THIS IS BULLSHIT!" and burst into tears.

Mind you I am a) a female, and b) was 13 years old. :p

But even at 13, I knew how precious a chance like that was, and how we threw it away. 2006 will remain "The one that got away".:(

2005, I've just blocked from my memory. I literally have no recollection of it.
