We've had big plans for the Tippett, Danger and Gibbs money. It's not something that actually exists.
Tippett & Danger are entirely different circumstances to Gibbs.

Im more interested in what you will do if Lyons plays less games than Barlow, which I think is far more likely.

Slalom ?[emoji5]Jack Grimes a downhill skier???
Not by my reckoning.
It's Fyfe.Given that we have unspent Gibbs money next season, if Barlow chose GC over AFC for money, we must still have a plan for the Gibbs money, perhaps putting it in the bank for an import after next season.
Not at all, I reckon he's a half decent footballer, plenty of players still on team lists far worse than Jack Grimes.Slalom ?[emoji5]
But would you dip him in coffee ?
Don't really see how you can say 'especially for what he demanded' without having any idea of what GC put on the table for him/what he'd have been asking for Adelaide to demand.Or we didn't need him. Especially for what he demanded.
Thommo to play all 22 games minus a couple of rests. Lock it in Eddie.

If we were willing to trade Gibbs in, it has to exist. Whether it will ever be used is another question.

For all we know he thought his opportunity to play at GC was better or just preferred the option of living in QLD over SA.[/QUOTE
damm im really disappointed u blokes didnt get barlow - he would have suited ur midfield perfectly. my sincere commiserations. i hear from local sources firrito could be available?
maybee boomer then? whilst he has announced his retirement the little fellla luves a dollar and im sure he could be convinced.Firrito? Absolutely not in a million years, never never never ever would I want him anywhere near my team. I'd rather go into next season 15 players short than sign Firrito
It's not hard to bet on an odds-on favourite.
I was simply asking Vader to quantify what would make Lyons a genuine AFL footballer. Clearly playing 22 games last season for a top 6 team with bugger all injuries didn't measure up to his standard. Vader and others have consistently said that Lyons is not up to AFL standard. I have never suggested that he is a star in the making but I do believe he had more to offer than several first choice Crows in recent years (van Berlo, Mackay and more recently Douglas). He is not a half forward and we had to either play him as a full time inside mid or trade him. With the development of Matty Crouch I doubt if he would have been selected as one of our 4 main inside mids (last year they were Thommo, Crouch X 2 and Sloane).
I also don't believe CEY is the answer although he could get a game in some of the lower teams. I wait with great anticipation to see who our 4 key inside mids will be in Round 1 next year.
Too much time on your hands??maybee boomer then? whilst he has announced his retirement the little fellla luves a dollar and im sure he could be convinced.
