Michael Hurley v Jack Riewoldt

Whilst we are on the topic of KPFs, which player would you prefer for the rest of their careers? Jack Riewoldt or Michael Hurley?

They both have the potential to keep improving but at this stage Reiwoldt has many more runs on the board and is a safer bet.

Well Jack obviously been a much better payer to date and has runs on the board, but I am leaning towards Hurley. Hurley can play higher up the ground and influence general play more than Jack can which is of paramount importance in the modern game. Jack is a very "old school" full forward in the way he plays and the way he conducts himself on the field.

Yeh Jack won a coleman but he seems to be a bit of a FIG JAM, not what i would want in my team.

Plus that goal he kicked against Hawthorn on his left in round 22 2009 was simply amazing

Jack easily. No idea how Hurley is doing so well at this stage. In the past two years Jack has been #1 and #2 when it comes to goal kicking and in the year when he was #2 he was struggling through various injuries.

All evidence points towards Riewoldt, but considering I'm an Essendon supporter.. well you all know the how it is.

Hurley, simply because I have grown to love him and hes an Essendon boy, if I barracked for any other team though and had no personal connection I wouldnt hesitate in picking Jack.

other supporters don't really want him to succeed, hence letting us know how overrated he is, how he is a better defender than forward ect.

Reiwoldt has the ability to attract the ball and kick the most goals for a side, but with Hurley, he plays that strong CHF role very well that gives a forward line more "structure" being the toughest role in the game. The fact he can play CHB as well clinches it for me. Given the choice between Fevola or Brown I would go Brown every time.

Can't believe I'm tipping him but I'm going with Hurley, I just think he will be the best KPF for the next 10 years, and he can play both ends.

Reiwodt is better close to goal, Hurley better up the ground and has more versatility. It depends what you want.

When you combine the fact that Hurley can play FB, CHB, CHF, FF, I think that he over his career might be the better player eventually.

However, as a pure FF, I'd go with Riewoldt, and I think he will kick more goals over his career.

To sum it up,
as a complete player: Hurley.
as a forward: Riewoldt.
