Michael Jackson - Dead

You sound like you should be in the audience. :o

What's with the embarrassed face? I wish I was in the audience, would have been something I'd never forget. Not really worried about how sane or insane he was, no one is perfect but at least his music will be remembered by millions for many many years to come and that's something none of us will ever achieve.

:thumbsu::thumbsu: great post

the memorial service unnerved me

granted it was a celebration of life, and his music

but it reinforced the fact that a person has died. you could tell with the jackson family all wearing shades that this was not easy.

you wouldnt have much of a heart if brooke shields's speech and daughter paris's speech didnt unnerve you

Brooke Shields not so much, but when Jackson's daughter gave her speech it knocked me around a bit. Simple thing to say but its just sad that we're never going to see him again :(

Let Michael Jackson Rest In peace

I hope they let him rest in peace, every day it's been about Michael Jackson.I'm sick of turning the news on too see the whole days news is about him.He isn't Jesus Christ come to save the world. He is just a man like every other man that used to eat and shit like the rest but was gifted with music talent.

It's been over a week or more now,so i hope they stop all this ratings overkill on all the networks. It be good to go to JB Hi Fi or any Record store without hearing his music playing at the background.I'm glad I've not turned on the radio all week,i suppose they been whoring all his songs all day.

Re: Let Michael Jackson Rest In peace

Got to say, I thought today was overkill. Not the memorial itself, I understand why every news channel was televising it and that channel 9 I think televised it delayed tonight. That's fair enough in my mind. It was an event.

But flicking through the music channels on Foxtel tonight and once again it was wall to wall Jackson with a couple of them playing the memorial service along with numerous Jackson video dedication shows, top 10's and whatever else. This was all well and fair in the day or so after his death but we don't need to see it all over again. I even flicked past A-Pac which usually telecasts things like Parliament question time, and it was even playing the memorial service.

Some of the comments from the news services hosting their own memorial telecasts were pathetic. I heard one woman say that as a mere mortal she could never come to understand fully what Michael went through. Umm because he wasn't a mere mortal himself? For starters, he's dead now, that's a clue.

I enjoyed watching all the old Jackson clips in the days after his death. It reminded me what a great talent the guy was in his prime. But I think we've had enough. Let him rest now.

You know the real thing that gets me is all these pretenders are now saying how great he was when they kicked him down and now want to get in on the action.

The thing that gets me also all these people who never meet the guy and act like they lost their brother and probably would grieve more about him then their own.that's America for you.

Re: Let Michael Jackson Rest In peace

Cant believe Channel 7 didnt play Family Guy cause of this shit. It's been like 13-14 days already FFS.

Re: Let Michael Jackson Rest In peace

I hope someone tries to buy his bones, just like he tried to do with John Merrick's bones.

I'm lucky! I was able to buy a couple of MJ's bones for myself!

Re: Let Michael Jackson Rest In peace

celebrity deaths are all taken differently

but the thing is michael jackson was the most famous man in the world at one time. EVERYONE - and i mean, EVERYONE knew who he was. you can go to iran, or nepal, everyone knows who michael jackson is. they knew his music, they knew what he looked like.

it can be argued he was just a mere musician at the end of the day, but he broke down barriers. i mean, did anyone notice? but hes a black man, no, hes not white, and hes commanding so much media attention! amazing thing to notice, huh? he melted away the boundaries of race and even gender.

granted in his days of decline he had become irrelevant in an evergrowing apathetic world, but the media is keeping his story alive purely because they are finding it hard to deal with. how a lot of us are finding things hard to deal with

People refuse to believe me when I tell them I have never really been into Michael Jackson.. There was 1 or 2 songs I didnt mind (Beat It for Eddie VH guitar work) but in general, his music was just not my thing. Since he died, people jaws drop when they find out about my indifference. I couldnt give 2 shits to be honest, but I did shed a tear for Farrah.
