Well he didnt completely say that, but that was insinuated at half-time during the NAB analyser.

Vossy didnt rate his effort.

" He can say he didnt get the right bounce but the truth of it, he had a look."

Given that Collingwood play West Coast next week, the reigning premiers is there room for a player who shirks his responsibility at the contest?

And is Vossy right?

Discuss.

He did have a look, but i did see him run back with the flight to force a spoil about a quater later. I can still remember Ablett hearing footsteps in the 04 prelim and he turned out to be a dud didn't he??

Big deal! Pendlebury is still a gun

Not every good player is a Campell Brown or Glenn Archer or Micheal Voss

Everyone who plays the game has courage some just have more.

What has Gary Ablett got to do with this thread?

McLeod did it a week or two ago and everyone got over it because he's that good. He's done the wrong thing and will get over it. I'd say overall he'd be happy with the night's proceedings.

Youtube link or it didn't happen

Voss was a good footballer but is a ******** behind the mic and camera!!

I Probably will cop a bit a flack over these comments but Voss has shown his true colours this year and quite frankly he is no where near as good as what he thinks he his after retirement....

Stupid comment by Voss - he is struggling to make an impact so tries to be controversial. His best comment of the night had to be (talking about Nick Davis I think) 'the best part about that movement was that he was moving'.

Then with 10 min to go with the Pies up by 41 he was talking up Sydney's chances. Clown.

Nothing besides the fact im comparing said situation with a situation the occured in a similar time a few years ago. You wouldn't think Ablett would shirk the issue now, give Pendles a few years behind him and he'll learn to just go flat out at the ball.

Voss was right Pendlebury did have a look instead of going full tilt at the contest like he should have.

However he more than made up for a when backed back into the oncoming traffic and took a strong mark.

Saw the play in question twice and I think it was more about Pendlebury making the best attempt to read the bounce and give himself the best opportunity to kick a goal, although could be mis interpereted as 'shirking' the contested ball.

Nothing soft about Scott Pendlebury, sensational kid, would love him at North.

On a side note - Michael Voss' call irritates me more than anyone else on television.

Pendlebury is anything but soft... one incident doesn't sum up a player. He is a superstar and is not soft.

Voss never said that Pendlebury was soft. He suggested that Pendlebury acted soft in that one instance.

If I recall correctly Voss made several glowing remarks about Pendlebury in a different Collingwood game that 10 did earlier in the year.

Have to disagree with you there...Bruce Macavaney and Robert Walls are the worst callers on TV however Vossy is serving his aprenticeship well as becoming a total F******T...

Was at the game and didn't hear it so i apolagise if that is the case. Just saying that It is just one incident.... it may have been soft but he will go in hard next time

Personally I think Pendles tried to 'read' the ball bouncing the other way , and he got a bad bounce .
But I may be wrong .

Vossy is a true champion but I swear I heard him say late in the game when the Swans were probably done that , 'it may be a benefit for them to get knocked out so they can get an early start for next year'

Or words to that effect .

He was saying stuff along those lines. I disagree, I would not have minded a win.
