Marlion Pickett is the one for me- he’s just an absolute jet who can play forward, back, wing and in the guts. Plug and play in any role, he’s got all the attributes and is a leader to boot. Luke Meadows is the other standout, can play inside mid or across half back and has great power and foot skills.

Otherwise, someone like Ryan Gardener as a versatile tall might fit our list needs. Even Aaron Black if we were willing to go down that route- looks a different player as a defender and we’d be well aware of his athletic attributes. Is maybe the best cover for EVW and Maj in terms of his physical attributes.

Fingers crossed we’re taking this list management period as seriously as any other chance to improve and get a leg up on opposition- if we can lock in the next Tim Kelly 6 months out and then give him a senior contract it gives us a huge advantage over rivals.

Slight exaggeration, I know, but feels like everyone we’ve ever drafted, apart from LDU, has had a question mark over them.

a quality mid would be the obvious choice but you aint gonna get one from the MSD, senior ready, another lockdown defender on the other hand may be available? cant just have the likes of fantasia, MTW, Betts, etc kicking bags week in week out.

I’m 90% sure Overage TAC players can be drafted. Pykie gave an example of one a few pages back.

Basically you can be picked up as long as you’ve previously nominated for the draft.

Brent Harvey hasn't ruled out the prospect of a comeback if a club gives him a call before next month's mid-season draft.

The 432-game veteran is currently playing coach of North Heidelberg in the Northern Football League, where he still racks up massive possession tallies.

He turns 41 in May.
