Why was it obvious we were targeting tall players and why was it obvious we were chasing mature players that could play multiple positions?

Did anyone else know we were doing this or did I miss all the obvious clues?

The AFL website says he is 19, but list his birthday as "28/10/95".
Must be 2005.
By comparison McMahon still looks like a stick insect.

...so they draft 1 x ruckman and 3 x forwards.

Know nothing about our selections but look forward to seeing them run out with the VFL side. Assume they'll arrive and get a mini preseason and we'll get to see them debut in the VFL in a few weeks time.

Their second pick, Lachlan Blakiston, is a 26 year old ruckman. He's 203cm

I dont know why the hate on us for taking a KPF, we literally have none in the VFL let alone the ones who are injured.

Reid, McKay, Ridley are only weeks away whilst Jones, Draper and lesser extent Langford are out for extended periods of time.

Furthermore, behind the first choice defenders (McKay, Reid, Ridley) we have Laverde and Hayes to fill in if everyone was fit.

Behind Peter Wright and Nate Caddy was.... no one (a ruck plugged in as a fwd is trying to do an adequate job but sadly not forthcoming - Kayle Gerryn).

Having not one but two KPF's with scope to improve makes absolute sense.

Archer May, imho was the second best player available which surprised me North didn't take him. would the hate be real if North drafts him?
