Just out of interest, anyone hear how he's getting on. Imagine he should be running around by now. Hope he's been in the gym

good question, one would hope that he's put alot of work into his upper body.

it sounds like he could be a gun kp forward for the next ten years. he's quick, has a good set of hands and is a smart player.all he needs is some strength in his body.

gillies and brown are both exciting prospects :)

Hope you all aren't expecting him to have bulked up hugely in his injury time. It's near impossible to put on real size if you can't use your legs (squats and deadlifts). 5kg is realistic though.

Add some strength yes, but everything I've heard about him his future is not as a power forward, it is quickness and athleticism. I would like him to have a year of footy so the club can evaluate his game especially keeping in mind Hawkins is naturally built to be a beast.

Is there anybody down south who has seen Mitch since his injury? Can he walk? leap tall buildings?

Spotted: Running onto the ground after the siren with all the other suits. Appeared to be moving ok :D

Hope he has a good solid year next year and learns a lot, because he could very well be taking Mooney's spot in 2011.

Bradley Green: Just had a word to young recruit Mitch Brown. He began running three weeks ago and is eager to get stuck into pre-season training and 2010.
From the live feed from the Carji Greeves night.

It's been a pretty frustrating season, but a positive out of it is that I've been able to do plenty of weights and get a lot stronger

One can only hope he has lost little if anything of his athletic ability. That he hasn't played is not as important as coming back fit.Good to hear he has been in the gym.
If we lock in the TommyH as the long term Mooney replacement as the Power forward there will be a lot of competition for the mobile ,leadup spot from next year on. Brown,Simpson,Lonergan will be desperate to break in while we still have top side.

this from the addy

The 19-year-old key forward prospect is probably the only player on the Cats' list eager for the next month to fly past so he can resume pre-season training after spending virtually the entire 2009 season watching from the sidelines.
