HAHAHAAH Lions Mitch just stated he wants to be a docker... rejected Melbournes offer

EDIT: Damn it :( I'm not the news breaker

Colin Young said that if Fremantle and Brisbane don't come to an agreement, Melbourne still hasn't been ruled out as an option.

Makes sense for Young to leave us with a bargaining chip. He clearly wants a result soon.

So according to that article we have no reconsidered offerring pick 16 and may offer pick 20 also. That would be a very bad move.

Looking at this, it sounds like it is not the value of M.Clark that Brisbane are so worried about it's what they need to satisfy the Adelaide Crows to pry Tippett away.

The Brisbane Lions would tell Mitch they hope he enjoys the Melbourne FC if that was your offer.

Agree until Clark says he doesn't want to play for Melbourne at all, and take it compeltely away as an option, they will snap him up if he enters PSD. Wr should give them unders, but too good to refuse for nothing, say pick 20 and steak knives or pick 16.

So have I got this right?

the position now is:

- Clark still wants to go to Fremantle,
- He won't agree to a trade to Melbourne
- If no deal between Brisbane and Fremantle he goes into the PSD
- If he goes into the PSD he reluctantly accepts that Melbourne will draft him.

So Fremantle can't get him for nothing in the PSD and must make an offer
Melbourne don't need to make an offer, they can just wait and see if he slips into the PSD
Brisbane, if they want something for him will have to agree to terms with Fremantle.

.. that's how I read it.

I wouldn't be surprised for Bond to come out at the end of the week and say Brisbane's request wasn't achievable and rather than insult them, they wouldn't offer a trade until they had the goods to do it...and then not do anything to improve our position in regards to helping Brisbane.

Mitch Clark could have been told that if he refuses to agree to a trade with any other club other than Fremantle, he'd be a Docker by December 14th.

If he slips through trade week and Fremantle get permission for him to train with the club, he might not even miss a beat.

Blah, blah, blah. GWS, Melb and Bris PSD picks prior. If he tells the clubs to get lost and he doesn't want to play for them, watch him slide right past.

If we can get through trade week without giving anything up for him, we can't lose. We either pick up talent, or we get talent + Clark.

I will laugh all the way to the membership shop, then all the way home if we get Clark for a PSD pick.

I'd even pretend to get in a fight with him this weekend, as long as he doesn't hit me in the face, if it will scare the other clubs off. The story only has to be investigated to scare them away, that it was arranged and a joke can come out later, but the joke won't be on us!
