Man, what a classy young cricket player he is! Not only is he an explosive talent he has a very mature cricket brain on his shoulders. I've been watching cricket for a long time and the last time I got this excited was when I saw a young New South Welshman play his 1st couple of state level games. Adam Gilchrist.

Went to the T20 big bash between WA and SA last night,
managed to get mitch's autograph at the end (i'd imagine it could become pretty valuable in 15 or so years)
Seemed like a really nice guy and i asked him what he thought of shepp's being picked up by west coast, he definitely thought it was good

Pity he only managed 3 runs on the night

Was getting ready to play a 2nd grade WACA match (about 3 years ago) and saw an under 17 make an unbelievable score...all the fielders on the boundary and this kid was still hitting it past them or over them....kids name was Mitch Marsh and he went on to score 200 odd in that game.

He is a 10 times better cricketer than he would be as an AFL player. BTW played a little with (and against) and watched Shaun Marsh who was/is also an unbelievable talent but reckon Mitch has him covered.

Given how he has batted at 1st class level this year and the fact he is now on a hat-trick in the T20 vs NSW (didn't get it) I would say my predictions of him being a far superior cricketer as oppossed to AFL player are looking good.

Unfortunately didnt get a bat though, His bro took care of that area making an incredible century, reaching 100 after just 53 balls and finishing on 108 off 58 balls not out. Was great being at the game

Marsh plays both First Class (four day) and One Day (50 over) matches for WA, not for Australia, so no not Tests yet.

Heading to the IPL today/tomorrow, to play for the Deccan Chargers. As he said, it's a dream come true playing alongside Gilchrist, Gibbs and Symonds. As an 18yo, how awesome would that feel?
