Was listening to sportsfm this morning and they brought up an innings Mitch played last week in a colts game. Mitch is 16 so could still be playing under 17's but is playing first grade. He was up against 21 year olds in this innings.

At the end of 40 overs Mitch was 40*. At the end of the 50th over he was 167 with 16 sixes. Most people will tell you that he is the most exciting prospect to come out of WA in a long time but that is still an amazing innings. 127 runs scored personally off the last 10 overs

There was an article on the innings in Sundays paper. Mitch was quoted as saying he has to choose between Cricket and Football in next year or so. I'm hoping he chooses cricket personally, the kid has everything needed to be a superstar of the game.

Thought i'd give this a bump. He's on the WA list but he still may yet choose an AFL career as Key Position player. Have heard his playing style described as similar to Andrew Flintoff so hope he stays with cricket

Even as little as five years ago he would have been a monty to pick footy but with the dollars available in the IPL these days, you'd have to say cricket is a much more viable option.

Saw in the U/18 Nationals earlier in the year he couldn't get near it. Should concentrate on Cricket I think.

I can't see the above link but from all reports he has a rookie contract with WA Cricket.
