I'm not sure I could contain myself enough not to give them some "banter".
Even just sly likes on hawk meltdown posts would see me carded....

I put my hand up and openly admit I often cross the line regarding moderator criticism. I know full well the job is not an easy one and respect needs to be given a lot more than what it does.
It has effectively cost me any chance to post on the mainboard permanently, something I always wish was not the case given how much interesting topics there are on an everyday basis.

I will say this though, on occasions, moderators can also cross the line. Now if that's due to taking pot shots or tongue in cheek remarks, it is still crossing the line because some posters fire up and retaliate and then a thread can suddenly turn into a shit fight where multiple posters gang up and what not and this is bit of an issue unfortunately.
Having said that, no denying that at the end of the day, the moderators are always looking out for our best interests and ensuring human emotions (yep, we live in a virtual world in the 21st century) don't get the better of some of us.

There is a small group here that are quick to jump on other posters and play the man and not the ball. These people know who they are but most likely deny it, even to themselves.

I'd suggest there are 2 groups to be honest... there is a huge divide in the board and some people simply get jumped on because of 'what team they are on' regardless of whatever point they make.

We also have a few cancerous posters who get in every single thread and are as vanilla as they come in terms of knowledge and discussion but bait and argue and stir pots... (thus deteriorating the topic and my term, apologies to any it offends)

Considering all of that I think the mods do a bloody good job to stop more spot fires spreading and to still keep it an inclusive place.
