Lloyd and Hislop didnt train. Wouldnt be too concerned about it as it is not unusual for players to miss Monday's on field work.

As expected no Hird or Campo.

Winderlich will probably be another week away. Only did modified duties today and players who have come back from injury have usually been doing all three main sessions before playing. tock's mail man says out for another week and his mail is pretty good.

Welsh has pulled up a bit sore from the weekend and only had a light run. Couldnt tell exactly what the problem was but he was restricted in his movment.

Some better news for Neagle. He was out running laps today so he may only miss a couple of weeks rather than 3 to 4.

Stants only did about 20 minutes beofre just doing some relex handballing. Looked like he had a bit of hammy tightness from the weekend game.

Rama and Nash didnt have a run on the track. They where on swimming duties.

Fletch trained well. No real problems for him.

I know it seems like there is a lot of injury news in all of the above but dont be too worried as Monday often looks like a hospital ward with various minor injury concerns.

Thanks for the report ant.

All clubs are like this on their first training session after a game, especially as the season wears on.

Was there any doubt on Hislop's fitness/injury going into the game as he was very quiet or was it just the inconsistancy of youth?

He was quite impressive the week before.

Putting him on the ground would help. Also letting him be more offensive than defensive is a good idea as well.

He's got to learn.
That will probably be his role during his career - a defensive inside midfielder.

He's only a kid so his engine isn't that big that he can play a lot of minutes. Besides I thought he spent quite a good period of the game on the ground.

Shaun Higgins usually only gets 1/2 a game max from Eade.

You've been making some strange comments today. Are you that desperate to blame Sheedy for everything ?

I don't know exactly how much game time he spent but from what i noticed he spent a lot of time on the ground.

He also played a lot in defense the previous week and performed very well.

Anyways, it's no big deal as he is just starting out and has looked good so far.

Good pickup

Not at all - just irritated that everyone here seems to go bezerk the moment Sheedy is criticised.

And I do think Hislop should be given more attacking flair - it is what we lack. I get frustrated by his comments which are normally blatant lies about taking risks.

He really seems to be becoming more and mroe conservative.

That is just silly if you ask me. JJ and Pev won't around in the future so we need to replace them with some attacking midfielders otherwise Jobe will be the only attacking inside mid we have. Hislop's natural game is attacking and aggressive and i don't understand why you would want to change him into a defensive mid when we already Slattery as our defensive mid for the future.

he hasn't been able to play his proper game. the tackles and smothers are the only signs of agression we have seen.

he needs to be given at least 5 minutes a quarter on ball.

he was one of the few who chased hard on saturday

More importantly, how was Sheeds?

One time that I went, it was after the Seven Sunrise spot with the cheer squad.

It was great seeing Sheeds joking around with the boys while barking out orders.

Lets just say there where no jokes or laughing. No first names either. After we have won you can hear Sheedy yelling out to the players by their first names but not yesterday. It was "Ryder , move, move, move" or "hurry up Gumbleton we are waiting"
He wasnt going right off but he was very firm.

Looks like he's in a corner Ant robus- lets see how the Dons respond this week. If they play Jetta against Collinwood, Sheedy is a very desperate coach.

IMO if they play Jetta this week desperate isnt the word. I would be thinking of a word that relates to a lack of intelligence......
