"I probably didn't need to go to the ground. The force of the contact wasn't great enough."

Agree 100%! I loved what Mooney did. There was no damage done, what's the problem? At most it should have been a free kick from the centre.

It wont be long before someone sues the AFL for lost wages etc etc. Although it is very hard to take sporting matters to court and win if you can show that two different players were treated differently you have the grounds for a case. When an umpire and player both agree an apple is an apple if the tribunal says it isnt against all evidence it is definately grounds for a court case. Now at round 7 or whatever we are at it wont happen for this but it will happen in the next few years when a player gets done for a finals campaign. Barry Hall last year was still one of the must amazing acts of blatent cheating in professional sport i have EVER witnessed. As I wanted the bloods to win I didnt care but WC were probably robbed of a flag. Not right.

It is not in a better state (onfield) since they took over.

Fair enough it wasn't while play was going on (or so I'm assuming), so a free kick from the centre would have been a fair decision. But just because Holland wasn't looking at him? Was he supposed to let him know it was coming first?

One the most anticipated matchups when Saints v Geelong is Mooney on Hamill, both loved by their respected fans and mostly hated by opposition fans (as it should be).

The AFl has robbed both lots of fans this great contest through its mamby pamby suspension.

Like the Gehrig tummy tap last season, it directly effects Saints v Geelong.

yeah we are the lucky ones this time, mabye next time Riewoldt will get suspended for "attempting to strike" or "attempting to actually play a body contact sport" or some other tripe BS made up to sanitised the game.
