Mountains out of molehills. Someone allegedly weighs a few hundred grams above what was anticpated before THEY WENT ON HOLIDAYS FOR OVER A MONTH and suddenly their career is at the corssroads? Give me a break. I think we're just desperate for things to talk about.

A feel good piece on Mora, nothing exciting but a nice read.

BUDDING Fremantle midfield gun Anthony Morabito can draw inspiration in his comeback bid from Hawthorn premiership ruckman Max Bailey, according to AFL legend David Parkin.
The four-time AFL premiership coach is continuing as a mentor to the injury-ravaged Docker as he enters the final stages of a third return from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
Parkin tips the classy number four pick from the 2009 national draft to effectively be a new recruit into Fremantle's already elite midfield division next year, after missing the past three seasons.
Parkin praised Morabito for his mental toughness in dealing with the trauma of three total reconstructions since he first broke down just before Christmas in summer training three years ago.
Bailey, 27, suffered his first severe knee injury in summer training early into 2007 and managed just 43 senior games. He played in the Hawks' flag win over Fremantle in September and then retired.
Parkin encouraged Morabito to have the same faith.

Anyone know what actually happens with Parkin and Mora? Does he actually get time with the great man, or is more nicnat-esque?
I believe Parkin's access is quite limited but he is permitted periodic dotage.Nic Nat simply must comply with the usual 160 character limit.

Thanks leeloo.:thumbsu: Interesting to read Parkin's opinion that we don't have great depth:

"They've got 23 or 25 good players and you need probably 28 or 30 to survive a season when you're on the edge of a flag".

I don't think he was being particularly negative here. He probably reckons that most teams don't have 23-25 'good' - meaning high standard - players and that we are very close to building the sort of high quality depth that all premiers have (and which, interestingly, St Kilda didn't have 2008-11). Hawthorn's list this year, for instance, probably ran to 28 or even 30 high quality players who were ready to go.

I don't want Morabito to have the same faith as Max Bailey, as Parko suggests. What's the point of playing in Fremantle's first ever premiership, then retiring? He'll miss out on the threepeat.

Heaven help us when twitter goes public and removes the character limit.

so from all reports he's doing his predominantly straight-line drills without any strapping on the knee - is that correct training watchers ??

If that is the case it bodes well for his recovery to have enough faith both mentally and physically to get out there without any strapping of any form...from memory, even up until he re-injured it last time he was rocking a little band or 2 of tape around it.

I can't stop dreaming about Mora's return in 2013

I have seen four training sessions and Mora has joined in everything, including zig zag activities. Far from running just in a straight line. He has also done some strengthening of the knee activities which put pressure on the knee. His fitness is also pretty good for a bloke who has missed so much footy. Quietly optimistic is my view on Mora.

morro is doing the same training drills as everyone else just a little slower .
His training is more running than anything else but he's not in the rehab group .
I think he is building up his tank and no strapping of the knee visible .
He is doing the repeat leads trying to shack the imagined defender training routine same as the midfielders and small forwards when I was down at training last week
