Cutting diamond requires specialized knowledge, tools, equipment, and techniques because of its extreme difficulty.Mora probably hasn't played 2 dozen AFL games yet so ain't no sparkling faceted gem. While the cobblers are cobbling Ross the Master Diamond Cutter will ply his trade on the rough one from Harvey;spectacular partnership and the club has done everything possible to bring it to fruition. We'll see spectacular footy.

Actually played 23 with 13 goals. I think this boy will fit right into our midfield and will rival Fyfe next year for B&F. We'll see him before round 6!

You think Morabito will be fighting it out for our B&F? Are you serious right now?

If you are, that's why people are saying he's become overrated during his absence.

If he gets to play a full season of football at any level and remain injury free then I'm counting that as a huge win.

...especially if he picks up a brownlow, a norm smith, a coleman medal and a premiership medallion. Those four in one year would definitely edge it into the win category.

Really? I would be disappointed if that happened. He is a power midfielder, and playing a full season of football would mean that he has overcome his knee issues and has a decent fitness base, which means that he has been available for selection but despite a full season has shown no form to warrant selection. Would certainly be a win for him in terms of his health, but also a significant blow to his career. Realistically he would be under pressure to retain his spot on the list if that happened.

Can you imagine how good it would be if Morrabito can come back firing. A midfield of Mundy Barlow Fyfe Morrabito. 4 players all 190cm and 90 kilos. 4 monsters with fast slick skills who could bully the opposition. Scary prospect for any side. Morrabito could be an inside and outside mid. Who do they tag? Just dish it off to Hill running through or D Pearce or even Son Son and delivering lace out to Pav or Mayne or Gumby or... I'm rubbing my hands together thinking about this. Morra looks a million bucks and from watching him at training his skills are awesome. He has massive potential to make Patersons Stadium erupt with purple lava. Very exciting and I think he'll be back even before mid season with a full preseason under his belt

If you have any doubts on Mora's ability ,get down to Freo oval and watch him go through his paces training
He stands out like the proverbial dogs testicles in build, pace, strength and skills.
If he stands up fitness wise he is a lock for the 22 and anyone who thinks otherwise frankly doesnt know a lot about the game

Add Crowley to that group of 4 & opposition will be very scared should any of them "creep" forward.

If he is best 22 answer this:
Where does he play?
Who does he replace?
Can he be relied on?
Can he contribute more than the player replaced?
What does he add to the team?
What would we lose from the team?

Look at the team before he is best 22, he is not a bad footballer, but right now I think the team is to good for him.

I think Mora will be best 22 by Round 8 or 9
My opinion is based on the fact that I believe they will give Mora around eight games at WAFL level to return to form and fitness and the fact that I have watched Mora at training where he has stood out as an athletic beast.
In answer to your questions.
He plays on a wing and resting forward.
He replaces Suban, Gu, C.Pearce, Neale, De Boer or D.Pearce from players who were in our best 22 last year.
He adds speed and strength to our team. The fact that he is 190cm adds further height to a tall midfield, making our midfield a nightmare to match up on. His ability to break away from congestion at his height is a unique combination and he provides something different in our team set-up. With Mora's talent at carrying the football he is able to break the lines and get the footy quickly into our forward fifty. Mora in his first year regularly carried the ball 15metres and then kicked the ball 55metres, making him a 70metre player, which is why he provides a different element to our best 22.
Mora also suits the RTB playing style with his ability to tackle and cover the ground well suited to our defensive structures.
Like Salim said, if you have any doubts whatsoever that Mora is an elite talent go down to training. Mora still possess amazing speed and is super strong which is why I think he will be a best 22 player by round 9. His athletic ability is the reason why I rate him differently to a typical second year player.

Not sure on his stats but from memory mora was one of our best tacklers this should push him up the pecking order from other he is competing with

We have agile line breakers (Hill, Pearce) and short grunty line breakers (Suban) - now we have a tall 'im a monster and will run in straight lines through packs' grunty line breaker

It's what he was good at - less agile, more straight line busting

I'd also add Gu to that list (189cm from memory) Then, you've got Neale and Suban who while smaller have grunt, speed and are great in traffic. Also shown they can kick a goal or two. Sylvia at his best is a game winner, and is especially dangerous (still an unknown commodity at this stage of course, but I'm being positive) in our team because he's surrounded by such quality he's likely to be left alone. Then you've got Hill and D.Pearce on the wings. I pity opposition coaches who've got to plan for us next year. I'm considering laying down some serious cash on us to win the flag. My missus won't like that idea, but what she doesn't know, doesn't hurt me.

Not saying he is the identical player to Gunston but, he is similar in stature, fast, can kick 50 -60 and can catch it.
Logically given our current dearth of midfield talent, I can see him playing forward. He could seriously mess with the opposition match-up wise. Where else would you put him? who would you drop out of the 22 given we have Sutty, Neale and Shero all on the borderline for midfield spots?

Probably Danyle Pearce.

He is 183 cm.
I'll still don't think he is best 22, he hasn't shown enough yet.
He hasn't shown enough, or you haven't seen enough?

Nobody tipped him out of the 22 in his first year.

Hasn't shown enough.

Our team is 10 times better than it was in 2010. Van Berlo was a regular that year, there's no way Mora would have been dropped before him. There were also players, who he was better than, who have overtaken him during his injury absence e.g. Suban, Fyfe, Ibbotson.

Comparing the Freo of now, to the Freo of 2010 is a pretty ridiculous comparison.
