Well put Menengola in and see how we go.

You're better than that.

First part was genuine question, I didn't see anything in his first year with us, I thought maybe you saw when he was a junior or something I missed in 2010.

Second part was an example of why you need more than just fitness

I reckon rolling rotations of Fyfe, Mora, Mundy, Crowley and Barlow is what we will go with.

They all have height and would generally beat their opponent midfielder in the air as all 5 are good overhead.

When forward all would be damaging and force action from the opposition to stop.

The rolling rotations could cause havok to opposition defensive setups - with opposition defenders and mid fields potentially blindsided by the regular changes.

It's funny, many have said we'll be the team most hurt by the interchange cap (and this may indeed prove to be the case later in the season, we shall see), but considering the amount of midfielders we have who can drift forward and make an impact the opposite may actually be the case.

The way we press up and pressure though, is going forward really a rest?

Yeah, saw a bit of it when he was a junior. He's got a pretty good footy brain and it is easier to teach a forward running patterns than it is a backman, which is more instinctual in my opinion.

I can't see him doing an MJ, for example, as at times that role needs more a booming 60 metre kick and a check with a precise 20 pass is required, and that is where his skills can let him down a bit.

This pigeon-holing him as a mid, because of his size and what he has shown in his brief past his narrow-minded imo. Nat Fyfe was a FP as a junior.

Moras got a good footy brain? Prepare for a verbal onslaught from Kickett punches Reid who thinks Mora is just plain dumb:rolleyes:

He'd be too busy driving past Yalgoo in a mining bus and getting an in depth understanding of Josh Simpson's cultural upbringing to comment.

Just switched on the tele and The Funk Bros and Chaka Khan absolutely blowing away Marvins classic Whats going on.
This is what its all about ,who cares what KPR thinks:)

8-10 weeks for a number 3 draft pick, mature body with 25 games experience? I think Rossy is playing games. Maybe they've factored in that after 3 recons a soft tissue injury is inevitable?

Or maybe there is common sense in play here.

The calls for him to come in this week are some of the DUMBEST, MOST ILL-INFORMED AND DOWNRIGHT LUDICROUS posts that I have seen in over a decade on this site.

Some of you really need to take a deep breath.

8-10 weeks seems long to me. This week is obviously too soon. Would have thought the end of this month about right. I guess there aren't too many blokes around that have missed three full seasons to act as a guide.

Much as I hate to say it, on reflection RTB's time frame is probably right.

Fitness and/or injury is not the issue with Morra, rather than skill levels and decision making.

I've watched two of Morra's three games back this year at Peel - his body is in beautiful nick and he still oozes class from every pore - but his decision making and touch is definitely rusty.

He's been gathering possessions and gaining meters in his games no question, but a fair percentage of his disposals have been wayward and he's not spotting the best option consistently enough. Plus he's banging it long a little too often, and when he does he's not kicking to advantage, but out into space. This only works at WAFL level, at AFL level they'll eat you up with this kind of disposal.

Morra will continue to improve - he just needs to get his on-field vision, his kicking accuracy and full-contact-confidence back. All the above is a matter of spending more time on the ground.

My memory is a bit hazy but didn't Mora play a string of about 10 WAFL games in 2012 without being considered for AFL during that time?

I'll put my hand up, (before the haters do it for me), and admit that I did think that 3 or 4 WAFL games might be enough, however the cool light of day shows that 3 years with bugger all footy is an eternity.

See you in June/July Mora, in sparkling form and tearing the competition a new one.

He played 6 games in a row at one stage, from memory a couple of games after he returned he missed a few games due to a quad injury
