As far as I know, he only stayed on this year because we couldn't pay him out. Shame we missed out on Viney.

I think you're 0 from 2 this post season. I'm sure you said Warnock wouldn't leave Freo, and got another one wrong.

Williams can go to the Dogs for all I care, Bailey has employed his other 2 assistants he may as well choose the 3rd. I'll love us to get someone tough. Plus at the moment we got Wellman from the dogs and he's looking alright so maybe Bailey can pick his assistants better than Rocket.

Wellman looks to be one of our better coaching acquisitions for some time and I share your sentiment with Mahoney as well. I'm not saying that he won't be good for us and some times players who were nothing special can excel in the coaching stakes as well but I just don't see it with Mahoney.

If Williams does in fact leave then I am not too worried, although obviously we would have to replace him but surely there are enough mid coaches out there to chose from.

Not to take anything away from Wellman, but i think the fact that our backline was our 1 positive area has a fair bit to do with Bailey previously being a defensive coach himself.

I'm stoked that Williams has left if it's true. I've been calling for his head but i assumed that he was still contracted and they didn't want to pay him out. It would've be good to get one of Burns, Harvey or Lappin. But I don't think we'll go for someone who's high profile, just based on the coin they'll want. (I reckon Vossy at WC would've been on close to what Bailey's on.)

Well if German is coaching casey, then perhaps Andy Lovell will step into the midfield coach role at Melbourne. Although he could still be at Sandy for all i know.
