Unfortunately IMO there will certainly be payback for this mosque attack and very possibly on Australian soil. The young Turks of the moslem extremist community are unlikely to take this lying down. Intelligence experts calling it a " game changer, " for good reason.

Nothing surer than a revenge attack now here I rekon , said in another post if I was a regular church goer I def wouldn’t go for a while , especially around Easter time in 5 weeks time either .

I had a look as well and shocked that he had so many supporters. Also some were using the letter by * wit Australian Senator Anning as some sort of official sanction for his acts. Brainwashed and ignorant mob mentality.

Won't mention the shooters name and won't give him any validity by reading his so called "manifesto" as all I needed to hear was he thinks the muslims are invading with their immigration etc. He seems to conveniently forget white people invaded NZ and (Aust)! NZ in particular are probably one of he best examples of reconciling and living together.

Reading his manifesto, that's pretty much what he wants as a results of his action.

The manifesto specifically says he is trying to provoke retaliation and cause a civil war in the USA.

The manifesto talks about inciting violence, retaliation and further divide between the European people and the invaders currently occupying European soil.

Ms Ardern has confirmed that neither Tarrant nor his two associates, who are also in custody, were on watch lists in either New Zealand or Australia.

First official confirmation I've seen that 2 others held in custody are reportedly connected with Tarrant.

Initial news reports did say Papanui HS may have been a target, but haven't heard any confirmation.

Chief coward had been living in Dunedin and neighbours saying he kept to himself. Bought at least two guns legally and was a member of local gun club.

"Travelled" a lot, member of local gym but no mention of him having a job.

Gun licenses are issued at the discretion of the police in New Zealand provided the police consider the person to be of good standing and without criminal, psychiatric or drug issues as well as meeting other conditions such as having suitable storage facilities. Several different categories of licenses are permitted, with the lowest one permitting access to restricted semi-automatic rifles and shotguns, with limited capacity, while the higher levels which permit fully automatic weaponry and pistols are rarely issued to civilians.

Do the Police bother to check where you have lived from your Passport documents when they do their gun checks.

You'd think that a white Aussie bloke living in Pakistan for 6 months, and with all his overseas travel might raise a few red flags.

Firearms licences are issued for 10 years, but can be revoked at any time if Police believe the person is no longer fit and proper to possess a firearm.

Visitors to New Zealand can apply from overseas for a 1 year visitor's licence based on their existing licence in their country of residence, though frequent visitors are encouraged to apply for a 10 year licence.

I think that is coming. But apparently, the house Australian media was shooting at has not been occupied by the family for decades.

The media must know the background, but they aren't sharing.

Does NZ do judge only trials?
