Not having a go just seems fantasy scores etc all seem to discount forwards.

For example Jack Higgins averages only 60 fantasy points this season which really undervalues his true impact.

Ask the opposition coaches, who tag him every week, if he's 'overrated' or not...

He's clearly not over rated.
He's treating some experienced players like school kids.
He's an absolute beast of a young man.

I try to balance everything out. There are some things that need addressing when I do it again next season. Sicily is scoring well but aren't indicative of his actual impact.

Higgins is scoring 15% lower than other similar forwards in points but he's doing his job as a forward. It's a tough one in terms of measuring positions. Take Isaac Rankine where he scores a lot around the ground. If I put him as a forward, is he truly the most impactful forward?

I'm not saying he's bad. But all the talk on Rioli but John Noble is 100 times better and should be the one getting all of the acknowledgment.

He was a no 2 draft pick 4 years into his career. 45th for clearances? that means there are on average 3 mids in every team better. He is a receiver, doesnt tackle and has no defensive game. Saints dodged a massive bullet not picking him up. I stand by my Sheil comparison, they are very similar players, look good but dont damage.

15th for average goals, 4th for marks inside 50, 21st in contested marks.

Given that tidying up his goalkicking is the only thing he needs to do to bump himself up into the elite category, and he’s still only 23 and has had an injury hampered career thus far, I’d say he should be rated very highly.

22 and under he's ranked 6th in the league for clearances. Maybe you're comparing him to Daicos, but that would be an unfair comparison to any other young player.

Which is like half a clearance a game behind Ed Richards who is just about the best player in the comp right now. Averaging 5 tackles like 40th in the comp, 88th for pressure acts, 40th for defensive half pressure acts, 33rd for score involvements, 48th for score launches. The kid is a very well rounded footballer, with a beautiful kick. Something that could never attributed to Shiel, he's also not a burst runner, it's a very bad comparison. The kid was about the best player in the competition after 2 rounds this year, the fact he hasn't kept it up is not surprising, he's still very young and in a very young side.

No one is saying he's worth that money now, rather that is an educated guess like Tom Boyd was. Saints aren't a destination club so they have to be more aggressive otherwise, it's not a reflection of his current rating or standing in the game.
