Won’t bother extending it out but I reckon the top 3 prospects would be:

1. Tom McCarthy
2. Archer May
3. Michael Selwood.

I’ll be happy if we pick any of the 3.

Please just take one of these, don't creative. They all fit a need.

i like the look of massimo raso as a small forward but not more than taking Archie May to fill the kpf spot

I don’t think it manages its employees that well either. We are still a rabble aflyer all this time. I love how you mentioned how clever we could have been with our volunteers. Of course we stuff that up. Joint is a shit show. We look completely amateur compared to most other clubs.

Still the case? Or has that improved of late?

Fan of Raso, the way he has adapted his game from being a midfielder in juniors to a small forward has been impressive. Still plenty of upside too considering he is only 19.

Main concern for mine is his kicking consistency, every game I’ve seen this year he has had some absolute howlers. If you are going to be a lower disposal player, you really need to make the most of chances.

Fantastic one on one defender. Isn’t much of an interceptor with his marking and doesn’t provide much in the way of possession. More of a dour, defend first type player. Good athlete though, so wouldn’t surprise me if he gets a shot.

He is eye catching, he has some good attributes with his run and carry, but I’d say the knock is his kicking and physicality. More on the outside and his kicking can be very hit and miss.

He has been under Essendon’s nose since 2019, and has trained a lot with the AFL side across multiple pre seasons. If he was AFL quality I reckon they would’ve listed him by now.

He’d be the next cab off the rank. Have heard recently though through 3rd hand info that he doesn’t want to move from SA.

Curious though he has nominated, do both Power & Crows have a pick?

It seems only a matter of time before Archer May gets his opportunity on an AFL list. He had his supporters after a solid top age season for the Dragons in 2023, and then had his name mentioned as a possible pick up in last years MSD. This year, after a hot start with Subiaco in the WAFL he's again firmly in the MSD frame and seems likely to be taken.

Here we look back to last year at probably his best game playing for Richmond in the VFL tallying 17 disposals, 11 marks and 4 goals. Not the quickest key forward but a big powerful frame and soft hands, active and competitive, strong forward craft to position himself ahead of the play or find space inside the 50.

In all honesty, I'd be happy with any one of those 5, along with a couple of others (Tom Evans, Zach Banch, Charlie McCartin, Donovon Toohey ect)
