My excuse for the loss

Countless frees went our way.

18 frees to 8 in the 3rd quarter. That is a free kick domination. It ended up being 19 to 15 or something - all our frees we got when it didnt count.

Richo, again got slaughted and didnt recieve a free kick. Neitz (who was outstanding) took a 'mark' right on the line.. in slow motion it was a mark but in real-time.. get off it.

Morrison took an outstanding mark (diving) out on wing.. not paid

Just something I spotted and I thought the umpiring towards us was terrible.

The one i luved was Richo taking that one handed mark - okay he didn't have full control - but in the process had his head ripped off. No mark - no free.

Agree with Morrison he is was outdone by the umpires it was pethetic. Cant believe it.

But he was what i took out of the match. He presented well at Half Forward, Kicked a goal and he nearly took 3 outstanding marks in a row. The boundary one, The one how he spekkied but didnt get it and another one i remember. You gotta remember he is only 22 and this is his 7th league game and probably the first time he has had 2 games in a row. Thats brilliant.

I would not have mattered if the free kick count was 50-0 in our favour, we were still going to lose.

We were hit by a disease called 'rampant apathy' and were completely beaten in the mind games before we even took the field.

You cant blame free kicks !!!!! yes it was absolutely shocking especially in the first quarter, but our first 15 mins cost us the match, the lack of hardness and tackling and running in numbers and confident style of play we showed against the magpies, wasnt even there, how a team can play like champions one week and chumps the next is beyond me.

our midfield was totally exposed we lacked forward drive and it was quite sad, dont go blaming the umpires for a 10 goal thumping, yes they were shocking but most of the players who ran out last night were terrible.

It wasn't like Melbourne needed any help from the umpires to make us look like fools, but the umpires helped out anyway especially in regards to Richo (surprise surprise!) That bald idiot playing(hanging) on him must have another life as a limpet on a rock in the ocean! I left at 3 quarter time, angry, frustrated and just plain disappointed, the tiny bright side is I got straight out of the carpark and home before midnight
btw, I dont like Gaspar, never have, after last night I just wanted to shake him till his curly hair went straight!!!!!!!

As I just posted in another thread oxx, too slow, too easily brushed aside, gives his opponent too much of a head start. You would think he'd know by now that he plays on the spearhead fullforwards, he should be watching them and sticking to them the whole time. Then he wouldnt have to hang his head while he stretches his shorts down his thighs as another bloody goal goes flying over his head
Mind you he did give the boofhead a taste of his own medicine when he ran down the ground, took a mark and kicked a goal.

True that. Fair enough, we got a rotten deal with the umps but perhaps if we played like we did last week (as a tight, running unit with a purpose and clean unwasteful possession) we would have WON.

You should have just said "Nyah, nyah I told you so". You almost sound happy about it too.

The season has just begun and we still don't know if this was an abberation after last week or if there is more of the same to come. I haven't lost faith...yet. It's a shame you never had any in the first place.
