I also got us playing Hawks in the Grand Final.
I've got Roos making the 8 and Saints missing out.
Saints haven't won at MCG since last prelim.

However wins out of StKilda/Nth this week makes the finals if I have predicted correctly.

No matter what though I get a Collingwood v Hawthorn GF. Hawthorn have a great record against Geelong in finals (or is it just GF's?) and I think they will knock them off in the first week.

I got Carton VS Essendon! First week of finals (that should be fun), and Geelong VS Hawthorn (another fun victorian rivalry).

Some people here have Collingwood vs Hawthorn GF i have this as a semi final and a Collingwood vs Geelong Grand Final.

i too have collingwood vs hawthorn.

although beaten by 7 goals, they were certainly the most impressive opponents ive seen this year, considering their outs. they were subjected to the press (one of the few) and withstood it fairly well with many inexperienced players. those players have had another 10 games since and are playing good disciplined footy.

like us the cats are using their position to rest players, but i just believe the hawks have the game to trouble the cats. also the fatigue issue will be hitting the cats harder than most, considering the age of their most important contributors.

as mentioned many times, im certainly no longer scared to play the hawks, as i believe we are a class above them - but likewise they are certainly the most awkward opponents to overcome.

It all comes down to 3 games for mine.

Game 1; Qualifying Final - Hawks vs Cats - winner gets the easier preliminary final, loser has to play a knockout game the following week then most likely play us.

Game 2; Prelim Final - Pies vs Loser of Hawks/Cats; Toughest prelim, but I'd rather have our toughest final after a break then in week 1. We simply should win this.

Game 3; GF - Pies vs winner of that first Hawks/Cats matchup.

For mine, Pies vs Cats GF still, Geelong like us are just waiting for September to start, and can go to another level that only we can match.

The Hawks got Geelong when they were off their game and just beating side although still beating them.
Geelong would smash the Hawks in current form.

Definitely not scared of Hawthorn. There's no way their midfield will be able to stop us from banging it into their back line, where they will be seriously exposed.
