6'7 All Round SF drafted by the Grizzlies at pick 25 (playing on 1 minute quarters in the Draft Combine) and then traded to the Pistons, I chose the Pistons by the way.

Also restarted because I wanted to only play 28 game seasons (PC version).

- Leading 6th Man award
- 2nd in ROTY (Soon to be 1st)
- They have my player playing anywhere from the point, 2, 3 or the 4 spot which is pretty cool.

- They traded Gordon to Indiana for garbage and also sent a 1st round pick with Gordon.
- Made up for that by acquiring Afflalo for Ben Wallace and a 2nd round pick.
- Thank God they got rid of Wallace and started Monroe, he's a great passer and sets up a lot of my alleys.
- T-Mac plays the point when Stuckey is off.

Best game was a 35 point, 25 rebound, 7 assist massacre against the Wizards, had a double-double after the first quarter.
 
About 50 games into the season, just had our 9-game win streak broken by the Pacers. Then, next game against the Bulls, all of a sudden we're running a new playbook! Except it's practically impossible to get through any plays (don't think we got through one the whole game). Hung close for three quarters, but got killed in the last quarter due to weird playbook and a stupid small lineup where my PG played SF for 6mins (three PGs, SG or SF, and PF). Didn't go to the closing lineup til there was 4mins to go and the game was already gone.

Has anyone had this change of playbook happen to them? I had the old plays down pat and we got through them most times, but these new plays are literally impossible plus they don't setup anything. Might request a trade if these plays stay because it's literally impossible to run the offence (10 or so days til deadline).

I'm not good at it either, but upping your stats for Def Awareness, and maybe other defensive attributes might help.

You can also call for help with L2 (i think)
 
Just started a season with the Blazers. Loving it so far but unfortunately I deleted my draft class when I got rid of all the save data because of the PS3 bug, so I had to auto generate rookies. Anyone know if you can download a draft class mid-season?

Have already upped Patty Mills' minutes one game in to the season haha.

fat diaw torched me as well, just jacking threes and then driving past me when i came out to him.

is there anyway to stop the computer deciding who your man is on transition defence? so many times i get punished by either being too slow to keep up with guards or picking up the wrong man.
 
My first create player was just about to smack **** out of the Celtics in the playoffs. MVP, broke records, best player in the comp. Game froze in the load screen. Hasn't progressed beyond that point yet. Just infuriating.

Made a slav Centre with a brutal moustache. Couldn't be arsed with it.

Association mode, went with the Celtics and fantasy draft. Played with it until I could get both LeBron and Griffin. Had Robinson, Goerge Hill, James, Griffin and Thabeet. LeBron can't shoot 3's, Robinson is an oompa-loompa and Griffin doesn't jump over cars in-game. Boring.

Then started up as the Thunder and upped the difficulty. Awesome. Durant is sick to play with. Smooth as shit and doesn't miss from mid-range (almost ever. Shot 26 points at 93% last night, 5 min quarters).

Not really. It's annoying and bad programming. Infuriating when you're covering a guy perfectly and then it suddenly decides you're meant to guard the guy who just got past your team-mate.

I tend to just pick up the closest even if it's not telling me to and it's clearly the wrong match-up.
 
Anyone know of any good handheld controllers for the PC? Do they still make stuff like the old Microsoft Sidewinder, etc? Probably won't bother with it for this year's version, but if I download (sorry, I mean buy ;)) next year's version, it'd probably come in handy. It's too awkward controlling games on the keyboard, and it's really held back my enjoyment of the game, particularly in My Player mode (that mode gives the game almost endless replay value by the way).

As someone who really likes tinkering with the rosters is sports games, I love how absolutely everything on a player is editable in this game too. Not just ratings, but height, weight (always like dropping 30-40 pounds off guys like Shaq), tendencies, where they shoot from on the floor, it's great! Can sometimes get caught up for hours just editing players :eek::p

I've found sometimes if you stand next to/run next to a player for a few seconds, it automatically switches to him. Doesn't work every time (and it's a real "yell at the screen situation" when "your guy" scores, when he's not actually your guy at all, isn't it? :p), but it can help sometimes.

and last night i lost teammate points for "not picking up correct player".

and whats with the team running a play for me but i get the ball in the post with 5 seconds left? douche harris is a real career killer.
 
Just started playing My Player again. My team (GSW) traded Monta Ellis for Evan Turner and Andres Nocioni. It was bad enough with only Ellis chucking 3's. Now I have both Turner and Nocioni doing it and they won't even pass me the ball... I'm the damn PG FFS

Dear God I will kill Tracy McGrady.

Game 1 of the first round of the Playoffs against New York at MSG, we (Pistons) are up 106-105 and we have the ball dribbling out the clock. The shot clock is winding down and they don't foul McGrady, T-Mac won't pass the ball and chucks up a contested three which is rebounded and the Knicks take a timeout. Pass goes to Douglas who McGrady is guarding and he blows right by him and puts the Knicks in front by 1 with 1.8 seconds left. Then on the inbound he doesn't even wait for me to move and just hurls the ball to me at quarter court forcing me to instantly jack up and brick the gamewinner, thank you Tracy McGrady.
 
Almost exclussively play myplayer mode on the PC...

First run through as an undersized slashing SG, but ended up a shooter. Forced the game to make sure I was a bench player until I was "good enough" to get more minutes, so first season I'd get like 2-3 mins a game at Orlando. Made the NBA finals but lost to OKC.
Second season lost a bunch of bench players and didn't even make the playoffs. Third season was basically the same, but I got past Carter for the starting spot. Fourth season well, the game kinda got too easy from a personal perspective, hitting like 50% from beyond the arc, including some games where we'd be down and I'd hit 4-5 3's in a row and win the game pretty regually...

Second time around I've gone for another undersized player, athletic PG. Decided it was kinda stupid to be drafted straight away to the NBA so delibrately played like crap to get put in the D-league. Somehow found my way to Orlando just before the end of the first season, wound up 3rd seed but lost in the first round to new york. Since they drafted another PG I decided that in reality they wouldn't keep me in the team, so switched to Minnesota as they had the least PG's of all the teams that wanted me (so most logical choice). I'm a bench player with about 6 mins a game and we're (Somehow) the top team in the NBA after about 25 games, with a crap team of Flyn/#2pick-from-draft/Johnson/Beasley/Love. And no, the pick from the draft isn't insanely good, 80 overall decent outside shot but a tad slow and that's about it.

Kobe got injured for pretty much the season and the Lakers are really sucking. The guy at the press conference is like "You guys did a really good job on Kobe tonight, holding him to one of his lowest scoring outputs for the season, what was the plan going into the game"......"Yea, well the plan was to make sure he was still injured and couldn't play the game. And well, we executed the plan to perfection, since as you obviously didn't notice he is still injured and can't play......dumbass."

hahahaha....even worse, i often watch travis outlaw abandon the play run for me and not dish into the post and instead jack a trey.

and dont get me started on douche harris.

When i was alternating between versions, i purchased pc, 360 and ps3 versions in a short space of time. The alternate console versions were purchased in order to play people i know on each version (who either have 1 console or the other), pc was just for the convenience and keeping up to date with what mods/graphical changes people come up with.

As it turns out i have played the pc version the most out of them all, My Player is all i play. I tried doing one mode per console, even then i still prefer My Player. I tried an Association and stuck with it for one season, i cracked it when after the first season my main created player chucked a tanty of his own, didn't want to resign with my side :eek: :thumbsdown:, i tried playing through the second season but it wasn't the same, so i abandoned it.

My MY PLAYER progress on pc is great, started and stopped a few times... finally got the "right" mesh of decent cpu ai that doesn't fudge up all the time when i got drafted by Houston (previously tried to play in Chicago, Miami, Boston, Milwaukee). Have only dropped one game, a few have been blow outs, the majority are even-stevens until at least half time (but can sometimes remain tight through the last). Currently have a 30 game winning streak :D.

I slowly worked my way up to being able to call plays... funny thing is that after my first really below par performance, they were taken away :p. After a run of more bad games, they gave them back (silly thing is that the way it happened, they announced it like it was the first time they were giving them to me, even though it was the second time).

PF 1st. David Lee 2nd. Drew Gooden
C 1st. Marc Gasol 2nd. DeAndre Jordan (love playing with him he is the best backup Centre in the game!)

We made the finals in season 1 but lost to the Celtics. Monta was MVP and Dorell Most improved.
