He's in the GOAT card section, next to Kobe, instead of the Takeover section.

Opened 3 boxes.

Only got J Kidd amongst all the others, just knew it was gonna be him when I saw the GO flash.

Picked up Chris Bosh.

PG - GO Simmons/GO Lonzo
SG - GO Roy/PD Elliott
SF - GO Turkoglu/D Reddish
PF - GO Bol/PD Giannis
C - GO Bosh/PD Divac

Will probably look to sell Bol Bol soon.

What I would give to get that GO GOAT Michael Jordan.

Also decided to go start a MyLeague and let me tell you, the game is incredibly different when you go back to playing with regular players. It felt like I was playing in slow motion because I got use to the maxed out speed, dribbling and shooting of MyTeam, I had to go and check the sliders to make sure the speed wasn't set to 0.

Hope you're enjoying so far. Let me know if you need any tips for Career mode - if you're a rank amateur there's a few things to be careful of in particular when building a player.

I started a career mode (but just with a normal team, not building my own player) with Clippers. First game was vs GSW and Curry destroyed me.

I played a friendly with 76ers vs Jazz and that was a good game, dominated with Simmons.

I really have no idea how to defend, or what I should about career mode.

Post your tips here please. I haven't played since about 2k14 and would to get back into it.

Since this has been on gamepass I have been getting into it a fair bit

Just playing career mode with a team.

The my player mode I found pretty boring. Playing games where you only control the one player just didnt do it for me

Which team did you choose?

I found the Clippers to be a bit disappointing. But maybe that's cos I am not great.

The first time round I used Philly. Simmons seems to be a beast in the lane, hard to guard against

The next time I started up a league and added myself as a new franchise. Set the season to start at the off season and to a 15 game season so I could actually play all games

I got the number 5 draft pick who happened to be Zion Williamson as he slide down the draft order. Signed Kwahi Leonard, Malcolm Brogdan & Hassan Whiteside plus some veterans to put a squad together

I started off 2-0 and then proceeded to fall apart and finish 5-10.

I am playing on veteran (which I think is the middle difficulty?) so I am not that good at the game either

Game takes ******* ages to install.

I have no idea how the draft works at all either. I just wanted to trade players lol

Took over 5 hours.

I think the main ones are:

1. Don't be short. 6'3 is the shortest I would go for any PG. On the other hand, don't be too tall - above 6'11 you get serious speed reductions. Each position usually has a sweet spot.

2. Maximise badges rather than attributes - it can be finessed so that you get more. Different positions (PG, C) get more badges for the same height and similar attributes.

3. Play with a build that can shoot - i.e. has green in the attributes piechart, has a 3 pointer rating of 70 or higher. Spacing the floor in online modes is critical to team success.

4. Don't skimp on defensive attributes, particularly lateral quickness for guards and perimeter defenders.

5. Contact dunk animation packages can be unlocked at 84 and 85 driving dunk. If you want these, your driving dunk cap can't be below 80 at 95 overall.

6. If you're a SF, PF, or C, do not lower your wingspan below default. Length is critical for contesting shots, and it's harder to make up for a forward with poor defence than it is on a guard.

7. Your attributes increase +1 per every overall above 95. This is critical for contact dunks and dribble move packages which can be unlocked at certain levels.

More tips here: (Reddit link). It has the best beginner builds which are good in online play.

I use a rebounding wing as an off ball build and an inside out playmaker as a PG. They're both a lot of fun and fit in any game mode.

$4.50 on the Nintendo e shop.
Is it worth getting at that price for someone who isn't really that much into watching basketball?

Yeah.

I've played a few games and even if I don't play much more, it cost me $8, so hardly a waste of money.

Yes, I don't care much for watching basketball at all.

But I reckon I have put 20-40 hours into playing the game, it is quite fun
