Just to get us started, what are your favourite, recommended and most recent comic purchases?

For mine:

Favourite: V for Vendetta
So many to choose from, but in the end I settled on V for Vendetta. A brilliant examination of modern fascism, and perhaps more relevant now than ever. Brought to you by perhaps the most respected author of comic books in the last 20 years (apologies to Neil Gaiman). For those who don’t know, the Anonymous ‘Guy Fawkes’ mask is inspired by this comic.

Recommended:
Watchmen (of course), Fables (twisted and fun), Cerebus (early non-misogynistic editions), Trans-Metropolitan.

Most Recent: The Walking Dead
A zombie scenario comic that ends up spending a lot of it’s time examining the breakdown of society and individuals under pressure. Plenty of cool zombie related violence in here too.

How about you?

Favourite is the Deadpool comics when i was younger, but would read them again.

Loved V for Vendetta, have loved everything Alan Moore has done actually. I think the Watchmen was one of the best. Got my copy signed by Dave Gibbons (who drew the Watchmen) a couple of years ago.

Speaking of the drawers for Alan Moore, the one who did From Hell with Moore was interviewed by Richard Fidler the other week on ABC local radio. Great interview.

The Watchmen is one of the best things ever written. Fact.

I am a DC fan... Flash is my all time fav - I have everything in the last two volumes.. I am also partial to Batman (which is like saying you barracked for the Chicago Bulls in the 90s) and JSA.

In sydney you can also try kinokuniya in victoria galleries - it's got HEAPS of anime and volumes of marvel and dc

Was a massive Phantom fan as a kid as my Grandfather left me his complete collection. He left them to me as i used to read them with him as a kid but i'm sure he knew they were worth something. Sold a good part of them for some serious coin after high school but still hold onto some <#10 issue out of respect for the old bo

Favourite stories being: The Hydra, The Trial of Patrolman Zokko, and the Kukailomoko series.

Will hold onto a couple to pass onto my kids/grandkids one day but the cash people offer for mint old issues is hard to turn down.

Batman the Long Halloween!

Such an awesome story!

Absolutely loved Wanted when I read it, shame about the watered down, piece of shit movie. Worst thing about it, no Shithead!

As said, obviously The Phantom.

Im a massive DC and Marvel fan, with DC probably edging them for the win. Possibly. I dunno :p.
