I just submitted my feedback SUPPORTING the development.
Our hostile friends very kindly provide the links on their website.

We know they are gathering troops for a mass submission opposing the development. We should do the same for the affirmative. It is a very straight forward process, so I encourage everyone to visit the links and lodge a submission supporting this.

There are 2 applications. Please support both.

They are trying to appeal to the ignorant by providing false information and scare tactics like a lack of parking. Pretty poor. Whats worse, it smacks of being lead by residents who live on the fringes who are Port fans who think by doing what they are doing is somehow helping Port. Frankly the council should actually stand fast and point blank remind residents that this area has been largely disused by locals for years and they have no real defense against the crows from taking it over.

We're up to Round 12 of the community consultation stage

So nearing halfway
Hopefully the birds flying past dont s**t on the site. You'll have tomatoes growing. Then you'll have the horticulturists picketing

So Charles Sturt Council put out to public consultation the SANFL plans for West Lakes. That finished in February, now they are having a working group to work through the complaints and alternatives.

If the SANFL don’t get their way they aren’t moving to Thebby.

Only in ******* Adelaide. Somebody should blow up the councils.

You mean they aren't moving from Thebby perhaps?
Maybe the state gov can find the SANFL some land in Gepps Cross like they did for the Police Barracks relocation.

This project is yet another example of why SA won't see premierships from either team (but sadly, especially us), because success isn't considered a priority.

If this was in Geelong, they'd already be training on it. But in SA there is zero political will to want to change and improve things. It's cultural.

Huh? Port are already in their new facility, their council worked with them.

And it’s still to be known if they are the right players but they identified ruck and defenders as an issue and went out and got 3 players.

They don’t sit on their hands, just look at how they got Rozee and they have little problem convincing players to come

Didn't the SANFL only have 5 years left on their Thebby lease - and thats when we started showing interest in it.

They'd only have 3 years left??

They're obviously a bit worried about Lairdy...

I’d rather us have our facility in the parklands instead of the SANFL.

Seriously, how did Karen Rolton Oval ever get built on the "sacred" parklands...was Womad on at the time or something? The fact we are now almost 6 years into this process, and not a single sod of dirt has been turned, is damming. This would happen no where else, and to no other club...

Also, found an article from back in 2018 about us looking at the nursery / green waste site on War Memorial Drive. Assume it was just the parklands looby / North Adelaide residents that would have killed it, but was that site ever seriously looked at? Dream would have also been Park 12...but of course that was never happening....

We didn’t want thebarton, never did. But it became the last option standing after exploring everything else

We’re now trying to make the best of it against strong headwinds

Geez, the club couldn’t have picked a worse year to be hitting up members with family or corporate money behind them to donate upwards of $1million to plug the gap in funding for the Adelaide Crows social club warm and fuzzies development
I'll chip in some money, if it means we can actually get this going and stop being s**t
