What young bowlers (yet to play for Aus) are the next generation for the Aussies. I spotted Paul Rofe about 12 months ago at a sheffield shield game and was impressed. Still pretty impressed by his line and length, despite a lack of pace.

Rofe, Inness, Cleary.

Rofe hasnt really got any quicker since high school...he seemed pretty sharp then tho mainly due to his height making the bouce sharper. Pretty much a young Glenn McGrath really, He will def open for AUS one day.

Inness, hell yes he deserves a go as well and also Damien Wright....pretty tidy bowler but needs to take more wickets.

Cleary too, more so as a possible all-rounder

Yeah he hasn't gotten much quicker since highschool, but he's learnt how to use his height beautifully, his line and length is usually absolutely spot on.

Interesting to see Dennis Lillee promoting Inness and Lewis for international honors, I've always thought Harwood would be the first from their current batch to be called up.

I have heard about Jeff Thompson son coming along. He has the n\bowling action like his old man. Maybe one to look out for.

Has Australia ever had a Fafther/son play test cricket or better yet opened the bowling in different generations

Harwood has probably come onto the scene a little too late for his own good.

I love the look of Brant.

Got huge raps for Rofe as well.

Watch out one day for Aaron Bird...

I'm not so sure about Rofe but the other two could become very good bowlers

Quite amazing if you consider the f/s combinations that other countries have had (Pollocks, Stewarts, Hadlees, Cairns, Manjrekars, Mankads, Armanaths etc.) I think It will be interesting the next Australian combo, I think Dan Marsh has missed out. That leaves Michael Clark and Shaun Marsh as next on the ranks, as well as young Thomo.

Also WA has 3 in the U19's Wood (son of Graeme) Porter (son of Graeme 2ODI's) and not a f/s but Verco (son of Peta 13 tests and 20ODI's):D

Qualifies for both countries i believe. Zimbabwe have been watching him but he isnt interested in going back.

Frankly I would not blame him for not wanting to go back!

Rofe certainly appears to have picked up a yard or two of pace from last year. Cleary looks a very good cricketer, although he does spray it a bit, he is a genuine wicket taker
