Interesting changes with Littorio and Master O'Rielly doubling their odds despite running ok races, are both set for MC not CC and Littorio is 5 times the horse at Flemington than Caulfield. After seeing Nom de jeu's run he still looks value at 12's, Mad Rush is now deserved favourite as his run was huge

Mad Rush was backed heavily today on track and was very unlucky, View on the other hand ran teh fastest last 200m, trained by Bart and with the set back last week had to have 6000m of work pumped into him this week.

Way way way to short for my liken atm. And also think that baughurst is a 2000 metre horse. Just can not stay. Its my favourite horse an have backd its probs 20 times. Dont back it to win anythink over 2200.

Won't run, Lloyd said last year that he doesn't stay 3200, if he couldn't win a weaker one last year he's got no hope in a better Melbourne Cup

yep. him and mad rush and too a lesser extent master o were best melb cup trials of the beaten brigade

Efficient and viewed are the only hopes from the aussies i think. Nom De Jue was even with Master O at the top of the straight and comprehensively beat it home although it did get a small trail off littorio. Littorio doesnt seem a true 3200m horse to me. Mad Rush and All the good are big chances. Septimus has to be respected. Barbaricus was a huge run in the CC and could maybe do a Zazzman but pace will be different in the Cup.

Where has efficient been all Spring?

Have a $50 free bet that expires the day before the big race - looking to lose it on a horse in the melbourne cup or win some back off the epl. Decisions, decisions.

Any idea of the weights on these horses?

I think we are all overlooking efficient because of the way Lloyd kept it fresh and we havent been able to criticise its runs....for me efficient wins and wins well...ill be happy to take 7 or 8s on the day.
