New WCE Site

For the last couple of months I've been doing a course in Microsoft Front Page (web design for idiots).
It was at the request of my boss at work - so I'd be able to update the company website.

But anyway, part of the course involved building your own practice web page. So of course I did one on the Eagles.
Instead of just deleting it, and letting it go to waste, I thought I'd actually put it on-line and see how it goes.

I've got some free web space with iinet, there are a few bugs to work out, but it should be ready by the end of the week.

The site itself will be pretty basic, with things like News, Match Reports, Previews, and Player Profiles ect.

I want to try and involve the three main forums into the site as well. I probably won't have my own because I don't think there's a large enough supporter base on the net to support another forum.

So really I'm just after some feedback.
Do you guys recon it's a good idea?
Would any of you be interested in writing the odd article?

Also I'm after a decent name for the site. I'm trying to tie the name in with my username on the forums (Buzz or TheRealBuzz).

I'm also after things like Wallpapers, Look-A-Likes and other crap to put on the site.

I'm currently trying to transfer the site to my home computer.

Front-Page may be for idiots like myself, but it still requires allott of stuffing around.

I've had quite a few replies over at the official boards, plus a few E-Mails.

Hey buzz, learning HTML aint that hard. What I suggest though is don't do like me and learn it in 2 days. I can't remember how to do anything anymore and I'm having to learn it again.

Well Buzz, you sound serious about it and if the site is up and running by teh start of the year i wouldnt mind writing up some match previews or match reports and stuff like that..

Anyway hope all goes well.

Oh and do you still frequent the Official WCE boards?? I dont know many ppl who have found this place and still go to something like the Official boards...just not as high a standard, although they probably get more traffic.

Thanks, and congrats to you for getting some good advertising for your forum in todays West.

Well I've been posting there for a looong time now.

front page sucks d ick.

typical Microshaft product that is too smart for its own good. As soon as you make a change and insert some code, it rearranges it for you. If it doesn't work, it's very hard to find where it put all that code to take it out again.

html in notepad is the only way. All you do is copy and paste in old code and manipulate it. At least you know where all your code is.

Thanks for that Buzz, the item in the west by Dave Hughes was unexpected but really was a great way to get the word out.
