New words to describe Freo's 4th Qrt Performances

Ok people, I dont generally post on here much but read every single post. Was wondering if we could get our crative minds working to invent some new words to describe our fourth quarter performances. Its not good to put crap on your own team but I thought I'd try and make some fun from the terrible feeling I have right now. Ill start, how bout:

4th quarters are almost like a game, "pin the tail on the donkey", except we seem to turn it into, "pass the ball like a moron".

Hope I'm not in the wrong place at the wrong time...
but I reckon I spotted something about Freo that the Dogs have been guilty of in previous years.
Mid last quarter,18 points up, Dockers fans seemed to be singing the club song as part of an early victory celebration. That is the sign of a losing culture, and I should know - I'm a long time, long suffering Dogs man!
I was only listening to the ABC, not watching it, but that was the point at which I knew the Dogs were still a chance.
Something the Doggies seem to have learned recently is that it's not over til it's over. Did the Freo boys also think it was in the bag? Did someone put on Joffa's gold jacket? Time for an attitude check, starting deep within the club.
I sincerely hope no-one clapped them off the ground for "a good effort".
Really, you should all have wanted to "spew up" like one of our famous coaches said a few years ago...

This is not meant to be criticism, just a well intended observation. Trust me, this all comes from hard, bitter experience!

Don't know, but probably wrong thread though. But anyway, the chant your thinking of tends to come out when things are going well, but it's certainly not equivalent to Joffa's jacket coming out. It's occasionally comes out earlier in the game (before 1/2 time for eg.) and is just a particular type of cheering.

Don't know where you've been the last few weeks, but few would have thought that game was in the bag at any point - though it should have been.

And finally, read around this board for an idea of how we feel - its not generally a happy place, though the funny side comes out to keep us sane and the up sides might be discussed, we are not impressed with the fade out and the performance overall at all.

I read this thread earlier but was way to p*ssed off to write something. Now that i have calmed down and really to try and cure my insomnia I'll have a go at it. Words to describe Freos last quarter efforts...

1. choketacular - to choke, or cough up a match winning lead

2. staggerific - to almost win a game of football, then to stagger (and fall behind) and eventually lose said game of football

I don't know about your interpretation PapaJ, but it certainly used to be. There was a time when the chant was reserved for the 28 minute mark of the last quarter when we were in a winning position. After a winning game is always on and even after a particularly outstanding quarter. It does seem that it gets a run way too early these days, and my comment is usually "its a bit early for the chant isn't it", then the inevitable happens.

So my contribution to new words for Freo's 4th quarter performance is FrrrrreeeeeeeeeeooooooooooooohNO!
